Dento Ryokan no Nukumori Haiya
Founded in 1884, this ryokan in Awara Onsen, Awara City, Fukui, retains its historic character with an entrance recreated by temple carpenters, a Japanese garden and coffered ceilings of thousand-year-old pine. A free shuttle runs from JR Awara-Onsen Station (advance call required), and it is about 15 minutes by car from the Kanazu IC. The inn has a table tennis corner for groups and families, with priority given to reservations.
