Hajimete no Takkyu (First-Time Table Tennis)

"Hajimete no Takkyu" is a chain of dedicated table tennis spaces where anyone from beginners to experienced players can drop in casually. Reservations can be made easily by smartphone, and rackets and balls are provided, so you can come empty-handed. Instructors give close support in small groups, and a variety of lesson plans is offered to suit different goals such as improving competitive ability, staying healthy or taking up a hobby. In Kyoto Prefecture the chain operates the "Shijo-Omiya Main Store". Tomohiko Tokumura, a former Japan representative at the World Table Tennis Championships, is on the roster as head instructor for technical coaching.
