Sendai City Izumi General Athletic Field Izumi Gymnasium

The core facility of the Izumi General Athletic Field in Izumi Ward, Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture, opened in April 1978. The 1,588 sq m arena (about 42 m x 36 m) accommodates 30 table tennis tables as well as 2 basketball courts, 8 badminton courts, 2 volleyball courts, 2 tennis courts and 8 bound tennis courts. There are 754 spectator seats and a stage. Individual use costs 240 yen for adults and 120 yen for elementary and junior high school students, in three time slots: morning, afternoon and evening. The site also has a martial arts hall and an archery range, with parking for about 550 cars. The facility is closed over the year-end and New Year period and on one inspection day per month. The designated manager is the Sendai City Sports Promotion Foundation.
