Miyagino Gymnasium (Genki Field Sendai)

A gymnasium within Keiwa Kogyo Genki Field Sendai (Shindenhigashi General Athletic Field) in Shindenhigashi, Miyagino Ward, Sendai, opened in June 2007. The main arena is about 2,000 sq m (41 m x 48 m) and supports 2 basketball courts, 3 volleyball courts, 1 handball court, 10 badminton courts, 3 tennis courts, bound tennis and 32 table tennis tables, with 1,072 spectator seats (752 fixed, 280 movable, 40 wheelchair spaces). The arena for people with disabilities is about 1,100 sq m (31 m x 36 m), can be used for 10 table tennis tables and other activities, and has 297 spectator seats. Other facilities include an organizers' office, a broadcasting room, changing rooms, shower rooms, a 25 m pool with 5 lanes, a children's pool, a water slide and a flowing walking-only pool.
