I play large ball with Chinese penhold.
I'd been going back and forth for a long time trying to find the right racket.
If I prioritized power on the forehand, the backhand side wasn't stable; if I prioritized backhand spin, the forehand lost power.
This Fenghuang CB clearly has different flight characteristics on each side.
The difference really shows up especially on light touches close to the table — the backhand side gives you reliable chiquitas and plenty of spin on backhand drives.
On hard hits away from the table, the characteristics of each side seem to even out somewhat? The backhand side does have a decent amount of rebound too. Long drives on the forehand side are limited a bit by the shorter blade length, so you can't get much centrifugal force, but for a full outer blade it still holds the ball well and produces decent power. Smashes close to the table leave nothing to complain about.
I'd recommend this to anyone whose forehand and backhand preferences differ.
