The sponge is softer than G-1 and the ball sinks into it a lot more easily.
Because of that, even when you're hitting from an awkward position, the sponge naturally launches the ball and you still get a decent shot. G-1's sponge is quite hard, so if you can't put enough power into the shot it won't fly, but conversely, if you can transfer enough power, you get a better ball than with C-1. So G-1 suits people with good footwork and power. In that sense, I think C-1 suits everyone. I think it's good for forehand at beginner/intermediate level, and backhand at intermediate/advanced level.Overall Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

Including the sheet, the hardness is 48.5°, so both the sponge and the sheet are hard. Because of that, the power on hard shots is more than enough. The ball leaves the rubber a bit quickly, so I think this is for advanced players who can generate their own power. I think it suits people who really crank forehand topspin drives. Not recommended for beginners or intermediate players.
