This is my first time using a rubber from Kokutaku. The pimple shape is cylindrical plus trapezoidal, but it's mostly cylindrical with only a small trapezoidal part. Despite that shape, serves and pushes grip well for spin. On the other hand, it's not very affected by the opponent's spin on receive, and against a backspin serve, just touching the ball produces a knuckleball. Also, hitting it flat like a penhold push gives you the kind of speed you'd expect from short pips. The hardest technique is blocking a strong drive - the return becomes a fierce knuckleball, but it's hard to control and takes some getting used to. A practice partner advised me that rather than covering the ball for a counter, it's better to return it with some backspin, like you would with long pips. For other techniques, the control is relatively good. It's an interesting rubber I'd like to use a bit more.

I don't remember the weight of the blade alone, but with medium-thick short pips and extra-thin long pips attached, it comes to around 118 grams, so I'd say it's on the light side.
It's a 5-ply blade with good bounce and high control performance, so I like it.
At one point I switched to a horizontal-grain short pips rubber, and that paired well with it too.
I also feel the grip makes it easy to flip the racket around.
