Front-end haste (Experience: 4〜5 years) 7-ply focused on initial speed!

      Player reviews

I used the VICTAS version of the Flare, at 83g.
The blade thickness is the standard 6mm, but the blade length is 158×150, just slightly bigger than the standard 157×150, so compared to other 7-ply blades, the feel gives an impression of being softer.
Table Tennis Kingdom reviewed it as having a fast initial speed, and playing with it myself I could really feel that quickness. It's excellent for fast, low-spin serves, but I found serves that rely on heavy spin a little harder to pull off. That said, I think you can win by using its lightness to get into close-to-the-table exchanges.
I'd recommend this to close-to-the-table quick-attack players who want speed, or to anyone looking for a light 7-ply blade!

Gengar (Experience: 6〜10 years) A blade between SWAT and POWER, leaning toward SWAT

      Player reviews

Bought a used TSP-made one. Mine was quite light at 81.1g.
I compared it to TSP's SWAT and VICTAS's SWAT Power. I used Ventus Extra on the forehand for all of them.
The ball leaves faster than the SWAT, and it holds the ball better than the SWAT Power.
The bounce sits between the SWAT Power and the SWAT, leaning toward the SWAT.
With the SWAT it felt like the hit reached all the way to the core, but with this one it feels like it doesn't reach the core and you're hitting more off the top ply.
With the SWAT, when I put a lot of spin on the ball it sometimes held the ball too much and went long, but with this one I don't get that — the ball leaves at just the right moment.
