This is an outer blade with a limba top ply, but for an outer blade it grips the ball surprisingly well and still generates plenty of power. They told me the special-material carbon is FE carbon. This limba outer combines two things that usually work against each other - the ball-holding feel you'd expect from wood or an inner blade, and the power an outer blade puts out. A lot of the units of this blade have the balance point shifted toward the tip, and depending on your playing style, that can be an issue - for me, the extra power came with less stable control. When I contacted Rally Ace about it, though, they went above and beyond and actually made me a racket with the balance point shifted toward the grip, just as I'd asked. Beyond how good the blade itself is, I was really impressed by Rally Ace's service. Getting this blade genuinely changed my table tennis.
