I bought this because it's the model used by Falck, a player with top-level results in the world with short pips on the forehand.
▼ Things I liked
- A feel where the ball doesn't fly too far, so you can handle it with confidence
- The square-shaped ST grip means it never feels like it's slipping out of your hand
- Easy to set the racket angle
- The balance point is at the center of the racket (toward the head), which makes it easy to control
- A relatively affordable price in the low tens of thousands of yen
- A simple design you won't get tired of▼ Things I was a bit unhappy with
- The build quality (woodwork) is a little rough
→ The grip material is a bit coarse, so sanding it with #320 sandpaper makes it feel smoother
- I'm a bit worried about the durability of the top ply
→ Since it uses a material that peels easily, I'd recommend using it with a coating appliedFor reference, let me list the rackets I've used up to now.

I felt like this blade's character changes quite a bit depending on the rubber,
so I'm reviewing it by comparing the two rubbers I've used on it.[With R48UM]
First off, it flies well.
And the sound when you hit the ball is sharp — it feels great to hit.When you hit it, both forehand and backhand drives just naturally sink into the sponge on their own, making it easy to play.
What really stands out is backhand blocking — even though it flies well, it's not affected much by the opponent's drive and is easy to block with.
For serves too, I think it suits serves where you want the ball to sink in.
This is really just a characteristic of the R48 itself, but I'd recommend it for anyone who plays with a rubber that grips the ball on every technique.

The impression changes completely.
First, it doesn't fly as much anymore.
The sound isn't as loud either.
But because it doesn't fly as much, I think it suits players who swing all the way through.If you hit softly on both forehand drive and backhand, the ball tends to fall short.
If you swing all the way through, though, I think you get just the right amount of bounce, so I'd recommend it for that style.

I'm a new first-year high schooler.
I switched from a 5-ply all-wood blade, and first of all, the feel and ease of use are excellent. It's not that hard, and even coming from a 5-ply wood blade I got used to it right away. On top of that, the speed is more than good enough. That said, it's a bit hard to get spin on, and the ball tends to go long, so it does take a little getting used to. But even accounting for that, it's a really good racket. I hope lots of people give it a try going forward.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness Little soft
