DONIC DEFPLAY CLASSIC Senso
As its name indicates, the new DEFPLAY CLASSIC Senso has been developed by DONIC blade experts for the classic defensive game. Long range defence, as well as sudden unexpected attacking close to the table, can be successfully undertaken with this new model. Weighing approximately 70 grammes or less, this blade is a light weight among the modern blades despite the larger size.
Two balsa middle plies glued together, give the DEFPLAY CLASSIC Senso fantastic control and a superb feel.
The Koto and Ayous outer plies enable the player to switch to a safe attacking game when under pressure.

Using this as a Chinese-penhold pips-out setup.
I'm actually a shakehand drive player with inverted rubber on both sides, but I tried this out of curiosity.
So please keep in mind I don't have much skill with penhold pips technique.
That said, it stops the ball well.
Both a simple block and a chop-style block stop the ball fine. I'm a penhold-pips beginner, but if you catch the ball right after the bounce, you can produce a pretty nasty, low, short block.
I didn't find pushes, sidespin shots, or other techniques hard to do either, so as an entry point into penhold pips, I'd say it's not bad for the price.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness Soft

Chops cut really well with this. Also, since the bounce is kept in check, I think it balances nicely with a spin-focused tension rubber. The weight isn't too much either — I measured it and it came to 176g. It's also easy to add variation to your shots, so overall it's very easy to use.

This is my impression after borrowing it from a friend. I was surprised how light it was. Forehand is Rasant Power Grip max thickness, backhand is Spike P-2. It doesn't fly too much and lets you control your topspin drives nicely (you can even get two-bounce shots easily). The flex you feel when hitting a loop drive is really fun. I'd recommend it more for players who rely on drives than smashes. (As a chopper)

The Defplay Senso ended up bouncing even less. It might be a good fit for someone at a top-level high school or college in their prefecture who's switching to chopping (having been an attacker up until now). But honestly, even the regular Defplay Senso doesn't bounce much, so with this blade it barely flies at all, which actually makes chopping harder. If you're the type who wants low bounce and plans to glue on Tenergy in max thickness, you'd be better off just putting max thickness on a regular Defplay Senso lol. Right now, I'm honestly not sure what this blade is really good for.
