    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveWith 5 plies, lightweight design, excellent control, and great speed output, this racket offers exceptional value for money, with other high-performance features more than compensating for minor spin limitations.
▽ CriticalBackspin can be difficult to lift, and topspin drives require more effort. Applying spin to services and against backspin drives is somewhat challenging.

This is the successor to the discontinued Mervour 5. Looks like they just changed the name. Yasaka's own speed rating for it is low, but in practice it puts out quite a bit of speed. I think that's because the blade is thick - it's in the same class as STIGA's Infinity. It's a 5-ply that's lightweight, has excellent control, and puts out speed, so it wouldn't be surprising if it were more popular. There isn't much flex, so spin is a bit harder to generate, but the rest of its performance is high enough to make up for that, so it's fantastic value for money.

I thought this was a really good racket for beginners.
It puts out quite a bit of speed too, and I think it'd suit any rubber.
      Also, it's really light.

Pairs well with pretty much any rubber.
Backspin balls are a bit hard to lift. I think drives come up a little short on spin. But it has enough overall performance to make up for that. I'd recommend it for people trying table tennis for the first time in junior high, for example.

Leisure person (Experience: 2〜3 years) Top speed!

      Player reviews

The speed is amazing! Thanks to that, rallies are easy to land and the backhand has good speed too. That said, it's pretty hard to put spin on serves, and drives against backspin are also difficult to spin well, so that part I wasn't too impressed with.
