NO.1 table tennis review site

Bought this at a discontinued-model discount from a shop I usually go to.
I re-glued it hoping for more spin and speed, at a hardness around the Vega Pro.

In the end I got both of those things, but maybe because the topsheet is firmer and the ball doesn't sink in for as long, I found that on receives, a stop meant to skid the ball off the surface would skid too much, and it was hard to loop a tight, heavily backspun push on the third ball.

In topspin rallies the spin, speed, and control are all good - I'd say it's a rubber with no real weak points. The power of a drive that flies straight but still has a proper arc and dips down, plus the speed and power of backhand hits, are weapons for taking control of a rally, and it also has solid stability for blocking and countering, so it covers everything from close to the table to far from it.

That said, maybe because my swing speed and technique aren't up to pro level, I honestly struggle with dealing with backspin.
If you're good at handling backspin on the third ball and want power in long rallies, I think it's worth trying.

I guess the speed performance is what stands out. Honestly it wasn't really to my taste, though.
The Vega gives intermediate players the spin and speed they need. The Omega has the high-level performance to satisfy advanced players too. The Sigma, though... there's not really anything special about it. The sheet doesn't really respond to your swing, and the sponge doesn't exactly grip the ball and launch it either. If you've tried a bunch of German rubbers and none of them clicked for you, maybe give this one a shot as a last resort lol

I don't know how it is for other people, but for me the spin grips normally, and it flies long off my opponent's racket.
Smashes get through, and if my control is off, that's just me being wild — there's no problem with the blade or rubber.
Since it's a hard rubber, people who have trouble getting a grip on the ball might find it hard to put spin on.
For me, it's the best rubber out there.

I play an all-around style close to the table with unconventional rubber.
Hmm... it's hard to describe, but it feels both easy and hard to use at the same time.
The speed is satisfying, but the spin and control are just okay. I think anyone can use it, but to really master it in the true sense, I think you need to be an advanced player.

The speed really stood out.
You can hit some really fast shots.
But the spin was impressive too!
