First off, I can't recommend this for someone looking for a rubber purely to win matches with. It's fine if you just want to try it out for fun. Is Xu Xin still using this rubber? If so, then with that kind of impact on the ball it must be capable of pretty high performance. It's a rubber for advanced players.

It makes a really nice high-pitched sound when you hit the ball. Feels great to play with. But it's so soft that it gets really slippery in summer. I kept missing knuckle serves in a tournament and barely scraped by in a deuce set against an opponent I'd been beating easily up to that point.
It's worth trying at least once, but I can't recommend it for summer. All Speed Spin Control Hardness Soft

My first impression was that the design really looked like an overseas-made rubber. Since I'd only ever used domestic products before, it felt a bit off to me personally lol
When I actually hit with it, it grips the ball well and is well suited to drives where you sink the ball into the sponge.
On the other hand, when you brush it, there's a sense of the ball dropping suddenly, and likewise with serves, sinking the ball in gets more spin than brushing does.
As for smashes, because the sponge is soft, it's less of a sharp “pang” snap and more the feeling of the ball squishing in once before it flies off.All Speed Spin Control

The sound off the ball is really great, so it's a rubber that feels satisfying to hit with.
That said, its spin performance isn't all that high — whether I brushed the surface or sank the ball into the sponge, the result felt a bit lacking either way.
For players who like to stay glued to the table, putting this on the backhand is a good option. All Speed Spin Control

Octopus (Experience: 6〜10 years) The sound of the ball really matters, huh.

The “kan” sound off the ball is absolutely irresistible.
Of course, the performance as a high-tension rubber is strong too, so drives are easy to hit from close to mid-distance.
Topspin rallies were tough, but Xu Xin hits them just fine, so I guess it really comes down to your swing.
The sponge is soft, so the short game and chiquita were easier than I expected. All Speed Spin Control
