I used the thick version on my forehand. It gets pretty good speed and I was surprised at how easy it was to use. Control is excellent and it puts on a decent amount of spin. It stays stable over the table without getting out of hand. It's a Japanese-made rubber, but even people used to German rubbers should find it easy to use.
Flat hits and smashes come out very accurate thanks to great control and speed. Considering I was using a 5-ply blade, the speed was impressive. It's strong in rallies and topspin exchanges.Like Rennos Hold, this is a rubber where light hits and hard hits behave very differently. On light hits it doesn't bounce much, but on hard hits you get a shot with sharp extension. Personally I like that feel, so it grows on you.

I used this on both sides...
Forehand → I can control the ball myself and place it where I'm aiming. Even though I'm not great at generating impact, I could still hit drives with good extension. In other words, hitting it hard doesn't necessarily give you a good shot...
Backhand → The backhand side is very stable and easy to use, and since it's light, I can smash away any ball that floats up. It flies more than I expected, so I think medium-thick is the way to go. The downside is that pushes don't have much bite.
Overall, I thought this was a great rubber to use on either side. I'd honestly like to know why it was discontinued! By the way, the lifespan is about 4-6 months at an hour a day. I'd recommend it to people who find Rozena tough because it needs a strong impact, or who don't like Rozena's feel on the ball. It's really a rubber for everyone — even Kasumi Ishikawa would be happy with it!

It's really hard!
Before this I was using Rennos Bright Soft, and after switching to this rubber I thought, wow, this is really stiff (゚o゚;)All Speed Spin Control Hardness Hard

To me, the regular Rasant felt like an easy-to-use rubber, but this Rasant Hard turns into a completely different beast on hard hits. Since it's hard, the finer touch shots are easy to pull off, and it barely bounces at all on light hits. But because the sponge is hard, once you really dig the ball in, you get speed and spin that hold their own against modern high-tension rubbers. Still, it inherits the all-around versatility of the regular Rasant, so it's a rubber that can do everything except blocking, which is a bit tricky. I'd recommend it to players with strong power!

I believe Kasumi Ishikawa was using this when it first came out.
It's labeled hard but is actually soft, more like medium in practice.
I'm satisfied with everything - speed, spin, feel, and control.
On top of that, I was surprised it's about 10 grams lighter than the poly-ball-era rubbers that are popular now.
So it's come in handy for my backhand. (Still using it now.)
The performance holds up just as well as the newest rubbers, and it's cheap, so I'd still recommend it even today.All Speed Spin Control

I used to use this on my forehand, and it was a well-balanced, easy-to-use rubber.
I was a little unsatisfied with the amount of spin, but it was easy to control, so instead of scoring with one big shot, I could win points through rallies.

It's hard, but the sponge isn't too hard, so it's just right for the forehand.
The sheet also grips the ball decently, so if you brush it thin you can even push short enough to bounce twice on the table.
