    X’s F1-21 is a high friction rubber with an elastic sponge. This combination produces great touch shots and creates power with consistency for allround play. Also, it will give you more feeling for the ball for serving, receiving serves, pushing, counter attacks and smash shots.

      I put it on a Butterfly PLSTAR blade. Being a high-bounce inverted rubber, it's probably more suited to defense than attack. Blocks and chops come back quite stable, and it's easy to use.

      I tried this high-bounce rubber after being recommended it as a control-type rubber. It really doesn't bounce much, speed is hard to generate, and the spin is noticeably weaker than spin-oriented tension rubbers - the classic high-bounce rubber.
      The max values for topspin drive speed and spin aren't that high, but depending on how you hit it, you can increase or decrease the spin, so you might be able to win points through natural variation.
      Also, since it's not very affected by incoming spin and doesn't bounce much, it was easier than with any other rubber I've used to swing opponents around with short shots close to the table, or to swing them around with blocks and then finish off a weak return.
      The short game was also easy, whether adding spin or just blocking the ball for a receive - it made a good impression.
      Since it's not very affected by spin, I think it's good to put on the backhand of a shakehand racket for blocking. Of course it works great with penhold too!
