Jiangshi Taro (Experience: More than 20 years) A good rubber that's been around forever

About 18 years ago I developed sudden sensorineural hearing loss, and I'd get unsteady even just standing, my sense of distance got thrown off, and this is the rubber I found back when I couldn't play in 3D anymore. I was playing more of a flat, 2D style.
More recently I developed retinal vein occlusion with macular edema, and my left eye's vision is distorted, so again I can't play with depth perception, and I switched from the Attack 8 to this Attack 3.
The Attack 8 and 3 aren't really that different at their core, but the difference is that the sheet on this one is firmer for pushes and grips the ball a bit more, and when blocking the opponent's drive it doesn't rebound as much as the 8 and stops shorter and lower. Also, the 8 tends to pop up a bit, while this one flies a bit more straight. All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

SHOKICHI (Experience: 6〜10 years) Usable for choppers!

Used this for my debut as a short-pips chopper! It exceeded my expectations by a lot! I bought the L-pips type, medium thickness.
The spin was the best part - the grip on the ball is unusually strong so it's easy to put spin on (I switched to short pips from long pips because I wanted even stronger grip on the ball).
Pushes are stable, with a good amount of spin, so I was satisfied (though it seemed easy for the opponent to read).
As for the main event, the chops, it seems the higher the power of the opponent's ball, the more variation there was - sometimes wildly cutting, sometimes a knuckle ball, and above all the trajectory was fast, so it was hard to read. As the one hitting, I could roughly tell how much cut was on it from the sound and feel of contact, which was nice!
That said, it seems like connecting the ball lightly was the easiest way for the opponent to return the chop, so some care is needed there. Also, on the attacking side, rather than being able to attack aggressively over and over, the ball tends to fly out as a knuckle or drop, so someone who can do backhand attacks with long pips might be able to attack more effectively with this!
This might be obvious to short-pips users, but if your contact point gets too low, it collides with the pips, so I think a higher contact point with a piercing trajectory works best(^^)v (also, catching the ball slightly to the side seems nicAll Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft
