  In a word, this isn't Spectol.
  With all the latest technology packed in, it's much easier to get spin on, plus it now has a satisfying sound and bounce - it's evolved into a modern rubber.
  Gone is the old image of a hard, peaky rubber that was hit-or-miss depending on the player.
  So does that mean "this isn't Spectol, it's a downgrade"? Not at all - I can say without hesitation that it's completely improved.
  You get knuckle balls and speed, and the topsheet grips the ball well so it's easy to loop too. It really packs in everything you'd want Spectol to become.
  I think this short-pips rubber is worth trying on the backhand at least once. Personally, this is the one rubber I'd call the 2021 "rubber that transcended its own contradictions."

  一言でいうとスペクトルではないです。
  最新技術を集結した結果、回転のかけやすさは格段にアップし、気持ちのいい音や弾みもプラスされた現代風に進化したラバーとなっています。
  昔の固くて人によって使いにくいピーキーなイメージはありません。
  では、「こんなのスペクトルではない、改悪だ」ということかというと、そんなことはなく完全に良くなったと言い切れます。
  ナックルもスピードもでますし、シートの引っ掛かりがいいのでドライブもかけやすい。スペクトルがこうなればいいなという要素を本当に詰め込んだ内容となっています。
  バッグ表は一度試すべきラバーだと思います。2021年版「矛盾を超えたラバー」は個人的にこの一枚だと思います。

  Elbow person (Experience: １１〜２０ years) One candidate for vertical-grain pips-out

  

  2.0mm. Used on one side of a penhold with short pips.
  There's little of that weird slipperiness, and it has just enough grip on the ball to hit consistently.
  For flat hits, it has good speed and gives you the trajectory you're aiming for. Both against topspin and backspin, it worked fine.
  Blocking and short blocks also felt stable with little slipping.
  However, it's weak against humidity. (Even compared to other short pips rubbers.)

  2.0。片面ペン表で使用です。
  不可解な滑りが少なく、最低限の引っ掛かりがあり安定して打てます。
  ミート系はスピードも出て、イメージ通りの弾道を描いてくれます。対上回転、対下回転共に問題なくいけました。
  ブロック、ショートに関しても滑り感が少なく安定しました。
  ただ、湿気に弱い。（他の表と比べても）

  Former Single-Sided Pen Man (Experience: １１〜２０ years) Good balance

  

  I tried Spin Pips D1 and Spinnate with horizontal pips, but they felt like a half-baked inverted rubber, so I picked this one to try vertical pips instead.
  As a result, I felt it was very easy to use, with a good balance of control, spin, and speed. Knuckle balls don't come out very naturally, but I could produce them by hitting with a bit of intention.
  It's a good rubber.

  スピンピップスD1、スピネイトと横目を使ってみましたが、中途半端に裏ソフトっぽいので縦目を試してみようとこれを選びました。
  結果、コントロール、回転、スピードいずれもバランスが取れており、とても使いやすいと感じました。ナックルは自然には出にくい印象ですが、少し意識的に打てば出すことができました。
  いいラバーです。

  A junior high school student who decided to live in public (Experience: Less than a year) Has good stability

  

  I used this as my first short pips rubber. I'm on month 6-7 with the Spectrum S2.
  Let me say this in one word: it's incredibly consistent.
  The speed is pretty good, so you might overshoot a lot at first.
  Spin takes a little bit of a knack, but nothing that gets in the way.
  Knuckle balls take a bit of a knack too, but you can produce them without issue.
  However, for things like loop drives, you can't just block — you need to handle them more aggressively or you'll overshoot like crazy. (Might just be that I'm bad at it.)
  I recommend this as a first short pips rubber. If you want knuckle balls to come out more easily, I'd suggest stepping up to something like the S1, VO>101, or VO>103, and for speed, something like VO>102.

  初めての表ラバーに使用しましたスペクトルS2を使い始めて６〜７ヶ月目です。
  一言言わせてもらいます。とにかく安定感があります
  スピードは結構出ます最初のうちはオーバーミスが多いかもしれません。
  回転もちょっとコツがいるかなーってぐらいで問題なくかかります。
  ナックルはちょっとコツが要りますが問題なく出せます。
  ただ、ループドライブなどはブロックではなく、攻める感じで対処しないとめっちゃオーバーします。（普通に下手なだけかもしれません）
  最初の表ラバーにおすすめします。もっとナックルを出やすくしたいならS1とかVO>101、VO>103など、スピードならVO>102などにステップアップするのをおすすめします。

  kagome (Experience: ６〜１０ years) All-round rubber with true pips-out feel

  

  Used on one side of a penhold blade, short pips, thick sheet. I switched over from the Impartial XB, and the ball comes off the rubber quickly - it flies quite a bit. I could get power even when backing off the table a little, but close to the table I changed my stroke to catch the outside of the ball so it wouldn't fly too far (and it still doesn't slip even with that stroke). It has good snap and a satisfying pips-out feel, and I can see why it's suited to angle hitting and flicks. On the other hand, it doesn't have that "hold and manipulate the ball" feel that the Impartial XB has - the ball leaves right away, so it takes some getting used to at first. It has that classic pips-out character while still being an all-around versatile rubber, so I want to keep using it for a while. It has vertical pips so it's affected by humidity, but the good bounce seems to make up for that.

  Addendum: Maybe because it has a lot of tension built in, it seems to have a shorter lifespan. The bounce dropped off quite a bit after about three months.

  片面ペン表、厚で使用。インパーシャルXBから移行しましたが、球離れが早く、かなり飛びます。少し下がっても威力が出せるようになりましたが、前陣では飛びすぎないようにボールの外側を捉える打ち方に変えました（その打ち方でも滑らない）。弾きがよく、心地よい表らしさがあり、なるほど角度打ちやフリックに向いたラバーだなと感じます。その一方で、インパXBのような持たせて操作する感覚はなく、すぐに飛んで行ってしまうので、最初慣れが必要です。表らしさがありつつ、全体的に万能なラバーなので、しばらく使っていきたいです。縦目なので湿気の影響はありますが、弾みの良さで補える感覚があります。

  追記：テンションがかなりかかっているせいか、寿命は短めのようです。３か月くらいでだいぶ弾みが落ちました。

  A cut man who only attacks (Experience: １１〜２０ years) Kanto Tournament Best 4

  

  Comparing it to the Spectol S1, the S2 has more bounce, gives better speed, and has relatively good control too - I think it's an easy rubber to use. I have it on my backhand, and I can consistently chop back even hard shots from my opponent. This last part might just be my own quirk, but since I sometimes switch to my forehand and hit with pips, I was able to hold my own against offensive players even when backed off the table.

  スペクトルS1と比べてみて、S2の方が弾みもありスピードもよく出て比較的コントロールもよく、使いやすいラバーだと思います。 自分はバック面に貼っていて相手の強打にも安定してカットで返すことが出来ます。最後はほんとんど自分だけかもしれない感想ですがフォアに持ち替えて表で打つことが私にはあるので下がっても普通に攻撃型とやり合う事ができました。

  TO (Experience: １１〜２０ years) Spectra with no quirks

  

  Switched over from Morrist SP. Compared to the Spectol I used to use a while back, it's noticeably easier to use, and that slightly edgy feel is gone. It doesn't seem to drop off in performance even in humid conditions, but you have to really go for it to get a knuckle ball, it doesn't come out on its own. Also, it just flies a lot, so it takes some getting used to at first. Compared to the S1 or the Morrist SP, which produces tricky balls on its own, this one has no real quirks and is easy to use with good balance, but that also means the ball tends to be easier for your opponent to read. As expected, angle hitting with this rubber is fantastic.

  モリストSPからの乗り換え。昔に使っていたスペクトルより格段に使いやすさが増して、ちょっととがった感じがなくなった感じ。湿気があっても落ちる感じがしないが、ナックルは出そうと思わないとしっかりでない。それととにかくよく飛ぶので、はじめは慣れが必要。S1や癖玉が勝手に出るモリストSPより癖がなくてバランスよく使いやすいが、その分相手も取りやすいボールが行くような感じ。さすが角度打ちは最高。
