      Ringgit A mysterious rubber

Feels like an unfinished-bottom Chinese-style tacky tension rubber - the sponge is quite hard (Chinese hardness 40, maybe around German 50?), and the surface is a bit tackier than a slightly tacky rubber.

For my own particular reasons I only use it on the backhand, and with the pure 5-ply wood blade I use, speed drives and power drives don't have much power behind them - I'd rate the speed around 6 for that. But for meet hits and smashes, it comes out fast enough to blow right past the opponent untouched.

For hitting against backspin, using the slightly tacky sheet to wait on the ball a bit makes it easy to stay stable, and you can put solid spin on loops or hit it knuckleball-style, so you can vary the spin and ball quality.
Also, thanks to the tackiness, even a solid push from me tends to stay short, landing with two bounces on the table or dropping the contact point to make the opponent hit up. Taking advantage of this lack of bounce also makes regular blocks and chop-blocks easy to do.

It has a distinctive feel that's hard to recommend to everyone, but ever since I put this rubber on, I went from a sub-50% win rate in singles league matches to suddenly winning the championship, and I started beating a teammate I could never beat before. It's a strange rubber.
