Glad I bought it. That sums it up perfectly! I bought this rubber with high hopes, and it really turned out to be a rubber I'm glad I got. The first thing that stands out is that it draws an arc even during forehand hitting. What really surprised me was topspin drives on both wings. I usually hit my drives flat without much arc, but even so, the 09C still draws a high arc! I also found the short game easy to do. I'm not great at stops and often send the ball off the table, but with the 09C it stays put really well. Every technique over the table was easy to pull off. As for downsides... if I had to pick one, it'd be the feel on contact - it's not a feel that Hurricane users tend to like much. You do get that rough, nasty ball you'd expect from a tacky rubber, to some extent. That said, it doesn't quite give you the kind of ball you'd get from Chinese rubbers like Hurricane. Though I was using an inner-carbon blade, which probably kept the ball cleaner too - with an outer blade I think you'd get a lot more character out of it. Whether it's serves or drives, the amount of spin was insane! Spin comes on so easily! If you've got some money to spare and you're curious about this one, definitely give it a try!

Perfect if you're moving on from high-bounce rubbers! I use the max thickness on my forehand. It's not as strong on spin as the DF, but it has speed, so it's better suited for the forehand!

This was my first time using a 7-ply, and it was really easy to use! I'm not a fan of the feel of Hinoki (cypress) wood, but aside from that, it's totally fine!

Using max thickness on my backhand. It's perfect for stepping up from a high-bounce rubber! It's not hard to use at all, and since the sheet grips the ball better than Vega Asia, the spin is high! If you're picking a rubber for your backhand, this is the one!
