    User review

I wanted to compare Tenergy 05 and Tenergy 19, so I put one on each side and tried them out.

Since a lot of people say 19 suits the backhand, I used it there first.
Since it's a Tenergy, of course it was good, and I was satisfied enough with it. But it was more like "oh, so this is what 19 is like," nothing more.
However, when I tried it on the forehand, I got a grip-on-the-ball feeling that 05 didn't give me, and once I felt that, my improvement sped up and I was able to play with confidence in matches without getting nervous. My shots against backspin especially got more stable.

Overall, my impression is that 05 has the edge in initial speed and how quickly the ball comes off the rubber after contact. I feel 19 wins on stability, 05 has the higher ceiling for destructive power, and 19 is easier to bring its performance out of.
That said, this probably invites comparison with 80 too — but 19 seems to arc the ball more than 80, and I also feel counters are easier with 19 than with 80.

I'd been through outer ALC blades, special material blades, 5-ply all-wood, cheating on my blade with all sorts of options
Amid all that, this one just felt too much of a classic standard, so I never really felt like using it.

    I tried it out
and now I regret not switching to inner ALC sooner.
Since switching to this one, practice has become so much fun I can't stand it. Thanks to that, I've been practicing more too

It pairs way too well with Tenergy, and when you swing through it fully it makes that metallic ALC-blade sound.
When you hit it softly, it feels almost like wood.
I feel like it's easier to copy the play of skilled players with it. Because of that, I can actually feel myself improving too.

Now I get why everyone recommends it.
    A gear you can trust.

    User review

I played table tennis from junior high through high school
I guess you could call me an intermediate player - I made it to the prefectural tournament in singles

I practice 3-4 times a week, and I tried using the mainstream equipment of modern table tennis, but I didn't improve much (I couldn't develop good feel)
I started wondering if my skill level just didn't match up with special-material blades
so with that doubt in mind, and wanting to go back to basics, I decided to switch to a 5-ply blade

I liked the inner ZLF I was using before, but
compared to wood, I felt it didn't resonate much in my hand
Compared to that, this All Round Evolution really resonates in your hand.
I think the feel you get when you hit the ball (how it resonates in your hand) is key to developing good touch
Chasing that feel when you play leads to both more power and more consistency.

Also, the way it resonates in your hand naturally builds up a sense in your mind of "this ball is coming back!"
which I think leads to faster recovery for the next shot

The Rozena rubber's packaging has that "tolerance" catchphrase (whatever that really means), but
I feel like this All Round Evolution is the blade that truly embodies that same kind of "tolerance."

  • GLAYZER

    User review

This is a comparison against Tenergy 19.

    Amount of spin
    Tenergy >> Glayzer

    Speed
    Tenergy = Glayzer

    Maximum ball power
    Tenergy >>>> Glayzer

How satisfying it feels to hit the ball
Tenergy >>>> an insurmountable wall >>>> Glayzer

    Consistency
    Tenergy << Glayzer

How easy it is to bring out the rubber's performance
    Tenergy <<<< Glayzer

    Tolerance
    Tenergy <<<< Glayzer

    Overall,
I think Tenergy is the better rubber.

When I hit the ball myself, I don't get that feeling of a really good ball going out the way I do with Tenergy.
The person receiving my shots also says Tenergy's balls come in heavier,
but when I swing with less effort, it seems like Glayzer's ball goes further.

Considering my age, and the fact that my physical strength will start to decline from here on,
I'm honestly at the point where I can't decide whether to keep using Glayzer or switch to Tenergy going forward.
And when you consider it's around 5,000 yen after discount, I think that's amazing value.

    User review

I was curious so I tried it out

    Impressions
It's fast. Compared to Tenergy 64 and Rozena

but the amount of spin on topspin drives doesn't feel like much

For serves, pushes, etc., the sheet is soft so it seems to grip the ball, and
my opponents kept dropping the ball into the net

I feel the brushing-type techniques are better than with Tenergy or Rozena
but because the sponge hardness is high, I couldn't get the ball to sink in and use it well

I feel intermediate players wouldn't use this
