Used on the forehand at an intermediate-to-advanced level
Comparing to the 09C
Good points
The ball comes out rougher than with the 09C (there's a big difference between shots that grab and ones that don't, which makes it hard for opponents to read)
Serve bounce is lower than the 09C
It's the type of rubber that lifts the ball up, so you can swing hard through low balls and still get a good shot in
The topsheet is a bit soft, which makes it easy to handle
The bounce is just right - not too dead, not too lively
No issues in the short game
Bad points
It doesn't produce a consistently well-spun ball the way the 09C does (there's a bit of variation in how well the surface grabs the ball, leading to misses depending on the rubber's condition)
Overall
The Jekyll & Hyde 52.5 has qualities opponents find more annoying than the 09C, and it made me think it might be worth switching to as my main rubberOverall Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

For intermediate to advanced players
My main rubber, used on the forehand
A slightly tacky rubber leaning toward tension
Comparison
It doesn't reach the level of the 09c, spin is less, but speed is there and serves come out lower
Good points
Serves tend to come out low
On speed drives, the ball gets to your opponent fast and doesn't give them time
If you really let the ball sink in and loop, the spin increases and you can force opponent errors
Even though it's rated around 53 hardness, it doesn't feel that hard - easy to use
No problems with the short game either
Bad points
On speed drives, the speed is fast but the spin is a bit lacking, so if you hit while your opponent is waiting, you get a quick return
Even though it's tacky, the spin is a bit lacking (compared to tension rubbers)
Things to watch out for
Since this is one of those rubbers that has a rising trajectory, if you try to create an arc by swinging from low to high you'll overshoot
Basically, against backspin you get more out of the rubber's characteristics by swinging forward
Why I made it my main rubber
I liked the speed, ease of use, the short game, and how low the serves come out

A blade with a great feel and great spin that answers the needs of players looking for stability.
When you swing through fully, it delivers real power too.
For rally-style players who play close to the table or at mid-distance and like inner blades, I get the impression there's little to complain about.
It's on the livelier side for an inner blade, so it's ideal for players wanting both stability and attacking power.
On the downside, since it is an inner blade after all, some people will probably feel it lacks power.
Playing from away from the table also feels a bit tricky due to a lack of distance on your shots.
One thing to note: because the blade is on the larger side, if you put on a heavier, harder rubber it will feel heavy.

Used on the backhand
If you've tried XH and found it hard to use on the backhand, I think a lot of people would be satisfied with this one instead
It has quite good speed too
Spin also comes off it more than other rubbers
It's the type that flies upward more
Ideal for the backhand of an aggressive, attacking playing style
Players focused on rallying and keeping the ball in play might find it a bit too sharp for their taste
My backhand isn't my strong side, and I mainly play a forehand-focused game, so I decided to go with a rubber that's a bit more forgiving,
but for someone whose backhand is their strong side and who wants to play aggressive table tennis, this rubber will deliver.Overall Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

Upper-intermediate level (forehand-focused, backhand as a connecting shot)
Currently using it on my backhand
My backhand is at an intermediate level, so I've been trying out a lot of different rubbers
Impressions
It lands pretty good quality shots fairly consistently
I've used DNA Platinum XH and H before
DNA has more spin and speed
But because it's more aggressive, it's touchier and harder to control for overshooting and pushes
I've also had Fastarc C1
Same ease of use, but more spin and speed
Even with a loose, grazing swing that feels like it should miss, it goes in surprisingly often
Countering is easy too
Easy to handle for how hard it is
Push, stop, and chiquita are all easy too
It's one of those recent rubbers that pops the ball up on its own
More of a match rubber than a practice rubber
Even against an opponent's ball for the first time, it's easy to return, and since you can return it with decent quality, you can make your opponent miss more than in practice
One thing to note: advanced players might feel the spin is a bit lacking
You'll make fewer mistakes yourself, but you'll also make your opponent miss less
You'll get countered more easily too
For me the pros outweigh the cons — it's a good rubber, so I've made it my main oneOverall Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard
