  • NEVES WOOD

    User review

It produces a solid arc in your swing direction, holds the ball well, and has strong bounce, so it's a blade I'd recommend to intermediate-to-advanced players.
It's also good for people who've been using special-material blades and are struggling with precision on drives over the table.
    Blades I've used:
    SK7 (1 year) → Fan Zhendong ALC (1 year) → Neves Wood

With the Fan Zhendong ALC, the ball comes off the special material quickly, but I felt it lacked the sense of gripping the ball on contact, so the feel when hitting wasn't great.
With the Neves Wood, the feel resonating in your hand on contact is semi-hard, but there's still enough sense of gripping the ball on drives that you can control the strength of your spin.
I'm using Fastarc G1 MAX on both sides of the Neves Wood, and if you hit it the way you would with a traditional outer ALC blade, the trajectory draws a high arc. That means the Neves Wood lifts the ball more in the swing direction, which contributes to better control.
The cross-section structure is very similar to the SK7, but the Neves Wood has more power, and the sound on contact resonates well, so it feels like the wood used, or the manufacturing process, is different.
