I'm moving over from the Wa no Kiwami - Ren.

I'm using Rasanter R on both sides — ultraMax on the forehand, medium thickness on the backhand.

Because of this blade's characteristics, it flies in a straight line, and even though it's an inner blade, it flies almost as much as an outer one.
The ball comes off very quickly.

The medium-thick backhand rubber is really easy to use — it gives a decent arc, spin and speed are both easy to generate, you can hit powerful drives, and it's also easy to use over the table.

With ultraMax on the forehand, the ball flies even without a full swing, so it's easy to return shots comfortably.
That said, for hitting powerful shots, the C48 seems like the better option.
With ultraMax, the ball comes off quickly, and the blade itself releases the ball quickly too, so unless you have real swing speed and impact, I don't think you can use it well.
The C, on the other hand, grips the ball for you, so I'd recommend that instead.
I haven't tried it myself, but since the New Zone series should also be slightly tacky, it might pair well too.

If it's your first time using R48, I personally think going thick on the forehand and medium-thick on the backhand works well.
The power, spin, and speed are all amazing, and you won't lose in exchanges either.
Even when you hit hard, the ball doesn't drop off.
I think this is the strongest rubber out there.

Switched over from the R48 Ultra Max, using it at 2.0mm thickness
Let me get straight to the conclusion
This one is for players at the level of top prefectural-tournament contenders and above
For someone like me at a lower district level, I feel like I could gradually adapt to it if I kept using it, but even so, the rubber's lifespan would probably run out before I could draw out even 50% of its performance
That said, given the ZCI's performance characteristics, a slightly tacky version seems like it would suit better, so I'm thinking C48 or C45 might be better for me

This is a lightweight rubber that flies a moderate amount, is easy to control, and lasts a long time
That said, the feel on contact is on the light side
I think it's ideal for topspin rallies
It's suited for players somewhere between beginner and intermediate level

For those of you who find special-material blades fly too much to handle, but still want a 7-ply wood blade for some bounce, only to find it too heavy to swing, this is the blade for you. At an average of about 82g it's quite light and easy to swing, and yet I don't feel like you lose out in power when trading shots.
Rather than loop-style play, I think it's really easy to use for speed-oriented drives and flat hitting.
As for rubber, I'd say tension rubber or slightly tacky rubber works well.
Recommended for close-to-the-table and mid-distance play.
