Masato Tanaka 00 For penhold drive, start with 9mm

      Player reviews

      Great value for money.

The price holds up well against how expensive hinoki has gotten lately, and you can expect overwhelming power out of it.

In fact, if you pick a heavier one, you can hit harder than with a shakehand.

Penhold still isn't out of the game yet!

The Battle of Minoshima! 9mm reassurance and destructive power!

      Player reviews

A 9mm single-ply blade — about as classic and orthodox as it gets.

If you find 10mm+ single-ply blades hard to handle or too heavy, this is the one for you.

At 9mm the control is exquisite, and the weight is moderate too, so if you can swing all the way through, it'll be a real threat.

Tenergy 25 lover (Experience: 11〜20 years) Easy to use

      Player reviews

This is my first time using a Japanese-style penhold.
So I can't really compare it to other penholds.

It has no quirks and is easy to control, yet I felt it still delivers solid power on the topspin drive.
