Inverted rubber on both sides.
Someone had bought this blade, but after hitting with it a bit they said "this isn't for me, I'm not going to use it," so I traded it for the Masamune I'd been using before.
With the Masamune, the ball bounced a bit too much and came out too clean, which gave me the impression of having less time to react. With this blade, since it doesn't bounce as much, balls that I thought might go long actually land in on the opponent's side. My own shots get slower, but the opponent's shots feel slower too, so I feel like I get more time. That said, since my attacking shots are also slower, they tend to get returned.
Even though it's the same 3-ply hinoki construction as the Masamune, it's completely different.
I think I'll keep using it for a while and see.

Since this is a 3-ply hinoki blade, there are already comparable blades out there,
like a certain maker's Masamune and the H3 series (discontinued). This keeps the Masamune's flex and attacking power while making defense easier. That's maybe because the blade is a bit longer lengthwise than the Masamune...
I wouldn't recommend a very hard rubber. That said, if you're someone who wants to really cut and slice with something like Xianglong or Hurricane rubber, putting a slightly harder tacky rubber on the backhand is also an option.
Attacking is easy on both forehand and backhand.
You can attack just as well as an inner-carbon blade, if not better.
It absorbs chops really well, and the ball
settles in deep with a nice, slow trajectory.
It has this strange feeling where even balls that look like they won't land somehow land safely.
This is a blade that fully brings out the goodness of hinoki wood. I'd recommend it to people using the Masamune who want even more stable chops, or to people using a carbon-reinforced chopping blade who want sharper, more stable attacks. It's also quite all-round.
The grip is unusually thick, so opinions will probably be divided on that.

It's a bit smaller than a typical chopping racket, with a short grip.
Because of that, it's easy to swing through.

The short grip also makes it easy to maneuver.
Since the blade is a bit smaller, it's hard for it to get heavy even with inverted rubber on both sides.

I think a really good racket has come out.
On the other hand, I honestly hope not everyone starts using this racket.
