You really feel the ball held on the blade, so it has excellent control. Of course when you hit hard it has that destructive power unique to Japanese penhold blades, but it holds the ball for a long time so it's hard to miscue!

It's honestly good. It really feels like a classic, traditional blade! Give it a try sometime. One warning though — since it's a single-ply blade, it cracks easily, so I think you should be careful when using it.
