    • Suitable for beginners through advanced players
    • Particularly user-friendly for close-to-net techniques
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveA perfectly balanced chop racket with excellent defense and attack. Both forehand and backhand chops cut and suppress well, while attacks deliver sharp drives. Recommended for all levels from beginners to advanced, there's no reason not to choose this racket.
▽ CriticalThe hitting feel is hard and thin, sounding cheap. Lacks gripping sensation and is not pleasant to use. Requires pairing with softer rubbers for better compatibility.

Very stable, above all. I rated the speed as 6, but that's for chopping - for attacking it goes up to about 12.

Aim Matsushita! ︎ (Experience: 4〜5 years)

      Player reviews

On my backhand I'm actually using Super Spin Pips Chop Sponge 2.
Forehand thickness is max, backhand is medium. With this combination, chops bite really well and are easy to control. On the backhand I can freely choose to add my own spin to the chop or let the opponent's spin carry through.
For attacking, both sides fly just as well as - or better than - dedicated offensive blades, and topspin drives grip nicely too. Since it's built as a chopping blade, the control is even better than an offensive blade!! Counters are easy on both sides too, and blocks stop the ball well.

Pairing this with VS>401 and Curl P4 OX is the strongest combo!!
Also, 2.0 thickness is the way to go for the VS>401.

Since it was developed specifically for choppers, the control when playing a chopping style is excellent. The feel is decent, and you can attack with it too. Recommended for choppers.

Untrained eye line Wonder if defense-oriented for

      Player reviews

Note that I switch rubbers a lot, so take this as just a rough reference.
It's said to have been designed with the Koji Matsushita PM (the successor to the Defense Pro) in mind, but it feels similar yet different. Comparing the V Koji Matsushita (91g) to the Defense Pro (89g): the V holds the ball well and has good flex, so it generates more spin, but in exchange the power on attacking shots is a bit weaker.
Since most of the blades actually on the market weigh over 90g, if you use inverted rubber on both sides for an offensive style, the total weight ends up close to 200g. It's a good blade, so I think even beginner choppers can use it.

      Amazing!!
It just goes in, no matter what!
If you're a chopper, you owe it to yourself to try this.
That said, the feel was kind of hollow and clacky, and I personally wasn't a fan of it.

      Player reviews

The control is amazing, for starters.
You can chop from far away from the table and still counter-attack.
Once you get used to it, close-to-the-table play becomes second nature too - it's amazing.
Especially if you're a chopper using pips, you owe it to yourself to try this at least once in your life.
