Both the speed and the control will satisfy everyone. The speed in particular is fast!! If you put on a tension rubber like Fastarc S-1, you'll be surprised at just how much speed you get — more than you'd expect! That said, it's quite heavy, so some people might find it too heavy to use comfortably.

Control is really good, and it's easy to land your third-ball attack.

It's not the soft, unique feel of a single-ply hinoki blade, but it's a reasonably soft 7-ply.
Every technique is easy to pull off, and I think the balance is really good.
It's easy to generate speed, and even though the ball leaves the racket a bit quickly, it's still easy to control.
If you put on something fast like a V01, countering is easy.
But I think a slightly softer spin-oriented tension rubber like Rasant Turbo would probably suit it well too.
When I had Hurricane 3.50 on it, everything except lobbing was really easy to do — the stop just dies dead on the table, and it was easy to build into a third- or fourth-ball attack off a stop. If you value the short game, tacky rubber works well too!
I think it's a fantastic blade!
Just be careful when peeling off the rubber, though! The hinoki top ply rips off in strips...
Especially if you're using OX... I lost almost the entire top ply with my 1615 OX...Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness Little soft
