      Player reviews

This is a review using the Chinese penhold style (long pips on forehand, inverted on backhand).

      [Speed]
There's a big speed gap between blocking to stop the ball and switching to attack with a meet-hit or push, which lets me play exactly the way I intend to.

      [Spin]
The top ply is on the harder side, so it's easy to bring out the variation with long pips.

      [Control]
The core is soft, and the ball release is neither too fast nor too slow — it's really spot-on. Whether it's the short game, meet-hits, or pushes, there's no technique that feels hard to execute.

      [Feel]
It's unique enough that it's hard to put into words. I've borrowed and hit with blades from various makers through practice partners, but this is a feel I've never experienced before. When you meet-hit the ball, it makes a distinctive "kashun" sound. I think this is a point where opinions will be completely split.

      [Who it's for]
People who want to actively bring attacking play into their long-pips game. The manufacturer lists it as ALL type, so it's not a defense-only blade, and it's hard to call it low-throw either. If you're looking for a blade that pairs well with the high-performance German long-pips rubbers that are trendy right now, this is a gem you should really try at least once.
