      Unlike other long pips rubbers, this one is a bit unusual in that the thicker the sponge, the less bounce you get.
      I think the reason is that it uses a very soft anti-spin sponge with very low bounce.
      Because of that, I think it's a long pips rubber that really excels in stability.
      The stability is genuinely top-class.
      That said, the variation might be a bit reduced because of it.
      I'd recommend it to people using long pips for the first time, or to people who want stability from their long pips.
      For bounce and stability: thin < extra-thin < OX.
      For variation: thin < extra-thin < OX.
      That's roughly how it feels.
      Of course even the OX version has pretty low bounce and is stable with little variation.
      The thin version especially tends strongly this way.

      I got a friend's old one and used it for a while as an offbeat attacking style.
      Compared to Curl P-1, the pips are a bit stiffer. I bought the P-1 after getting rid of my LONG III, so I can't compare the pip size ratio.
      Moves that are hard to put spin on with the Curl are easier to spin with this one, so it's more stable, though the Curl has bigger variation in the ball's behavior.
      Because of that, attacks that are hard to do with the Curl, like pips-drives or pip-sweeps, are easier with this one, so I think even someone weak or unskilled with their hands could handle it.
      On the flip side, when it comes to bending the pips over, you do need a proper full swing.

      In terms of stability, I think this one is better. It'd suit a chopper who plays an offbeat attacking style and grinds out wins.

      This rubber cuts pushes so well it barely feels like long pips at all. It cuts way more than even a mediocre inverted rubber player would. Ridiculously sharp cuts, lol!
      That said, you should also assume it has almost none of the variation typical of long pips.
      Chops and pushes are easy to control, but it's better to play it with the feel of a short pips rubber rather than long pips.
      Against light drives it's extremely stable and cuts well compared to variation-type long pips, but don't expect much reversal-spin performance against strong drives.
      If you want long pips that's easy to use, give this one a try!

      Compared to the Curl P4, the Long Feint has harder pips. The sponges are about the same hardness. I think the Curl has more variation. Both were easy to push with. As for chops, I found the Long Feint easier to cut with. The weakness is that it's a bit weak against humidity.
