This blade has a smaller head than typical chopping blades, so it's very easy to swing when you go on the attack. It's a very soft, flexible blade, so within the Nittaku lineup it pairs really well with hard rubbers like Hurricane. It might also work well with a firm tension rubber from another brand, like DNA.
Personally, I really like the feedback you get in your hand when you hold back a chop. It looks like a blade built mostly for attacking, but it holds back well enough that even someone who almost never attacks and just chops can use it.

When I had Tenergy 05 on it, it really flew a lot. Forehand chops didn't get much spin on them. Attacking shots especially flew fast. But once you find the right feel, you can get a lot of spin, and your attacks become stable too.
It matches extremely well with DHS rubbers like Hurricane Neo 3.
It's easy to get spin on your chops, and attacks fly well too, so even within a control-oriented setup you can still generate plenty of spin.If you're thinking about putting Tenergy 05 on the Violoncello, I personally think one of Butterfly's dedicated chopping blades would be a better choice.

For a chopping blade, it felt like it had quite a lot of bounce.
You can also use a style where the forehand is for connecting shots and drives while the backhand is for chopping.
As a feature of the string-instrument series, it has a soft feel and good ball-holding, so I think aggressive players should put a hard rubber on the forehand, while players who like to grind it out should use a soft rubber.
Some people might find the oval-shaped grip makes it harder to flip the racket around, but personally it didn't bother me much.
If you're considering the Violin, this one might work just as well for you. (The only difference is the blade width.)

I bought this used.
Until now I'd been using a Fly Att Carbon, the model Yuto Muramatsu plays, until it broke.
So I'd been chopping with a racket that bounces quite a lot, but since I like hard blades, I tried chopping with a friend's Violin that I borrowed and it really clicked, so I bought a Bioncello.
Since it's basically the Violin with a bigger blade size, chopping is stable,
but the flex is so strong that without power, your drives lack any punch.
I have a Hammond Extra Thin on my backhand,
but it doesn't bounce enough and I end up netting the ball.
I think this is a great racket for a chopper with power.
For my forehand, since I'm chopping, I have Spinart on it, but I just kept the rubber from my old Fly Att Carbon, so it still doesn't bounce enough.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness Soft

① With Tenergy 05 / V>15 Extra... I'm not a big fan of the sound off the blade. I don't really get the "flex" from the string-instrument construction, but the combo felt mediocre.
Attack: easy to control even on hard hits, but it feels like the speed gets swallowed up. You'd probably need serious power to bring out the best of a tension rubber on the Violoncello.
Forehand chop (against a hard shot): the repel is well-tamed and easy to control, but you have to cut hard or it doesn't bite, so I found it tricky.
Forehand chop (against a soft shot): control isn't an issue, but cutting the ball with real spin might be a bit hard.② With Hurricane Pro3 Turbo Orange... I think this suits pure chopping. You'd need serious power to really feel the benefit of the string-instrument flex in your play.
Attack: maybe it's my lack of skill, but there's no speed and it just doesn't feel like a good match at all. I felt you'd need a lot of power to make it work.
Forehand chop (against a hard shot): the repel is tamed, easy to control, doesn't get in the way of the rubber's strengths, and bites well.

The base is the Violin, an attacking (medium-speed) blade, and the Violoncello is supposedly just that with an enlarged blade for chopping... So I first tried it with V15 on the forehand and long pips (Feint Long II Extra Thin) on the backhand, and it definitely has strong bounce (personally I'd still say the Joo Se-hyuk blade is bouncier), which made my chops and blocks tend to sail long.
On the other hand, drives and smashes have that satisfying feel unique to the string-instrument series, with good speed and control.
Given that, I switched to a tacky, low-bounce rubber to prioritize stable chopping, and it matched well. I also tried Spipi Chop 2, a soft, low-bounce sponge, on the backhand, and that improved the overall attack-defense balance!
Also, the grip is thin, so I think opinions on it will vary.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness little hard
