    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
The rubber receives high evaluations for its excellent spin performance, while hardness of the sponge and lack of speed are concerns. Despite being discontinued, many users hope for a revival as an introductory-to-intermediate level sticky rubber. Racket selection is crucial, and it is consistently rated as a rubber that is selective about the user.

    • Hard sponge results in insufficient speed

    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveSpin grips strongly and adhesive properties are excellent. Good performance for the price, enabling top-level serves and spin receives. The metallic sound is also satisfying.
▽ CriticalHard surface and poor speed production mean stepping back requires full-force swings. Not suitable for smashes, and not for everyone; proper racket selection is essential.

For a Chinese rubber it's on the softer side, and the pips are arranged in horizontal rows, which makes it easy to generate spin and hit drives. Personally I found it easier to use than Hurricane.
I'd recommend it to anyone who finds Hurricane too hard to handle.

It was hard and just didn't suit me.
In practice, if I focused on hitting with a strong impact I could get good shots, but in matches the ball would end up falling short.
I think if I had a bit more power, I could make it work.

Maybe it's because I don't normally use tacky rubbers, but this one just didn't have any bounce for me at all. A rubber that really depends on the player.

Up Down Service (Experience: 6〜10 years) Backhand smash

      Reviews by user

Some opponent of mine was using this. Judging just from the name, I guessed it was tacky, and I was right. That said, it also gave the impression it could hit hard shots easily. I had it on the reverse side of a penhold pips blade, but since my main style is backhand strokes, it was really hard to use. Overall, my take on the rubber is that it generates solid spin, but you also get speed out of it. As long as you don't get pushed off the table, I think it could be quite usable... I'd definitely recommend it to intermediate players.

With Easier to use than Hurricane!

      Reviews by user

This one has been discontinued now.
I'd say it's on the softer side among tacky rubbers.
I paired it with a very flexible 5-ply blade because it's a tacky rubber, but honestly you'd want at least a hardwood-level stiffness.
The spin amount falls short of Hurricane, but the initial ball speed is way faster than Hurricane.
A rubber I could recommend even to people new to tacky rubbers.
I really wish they'd bring this one back.

Hydrogen ion (Experience: 6〜10 years) A great value-for-money rubber. Shame the unit variance is so big.

      Reviews by user

Some sheets last over six months, while others can start falling apart right out of the wrapper. The weight is inconsistent too.
I had this on a discontinued ALC blade for a bit over two years, and it let me produce serves and spin returns that could hold their own even at the top level in my prefecture.
A powerful player can hit it sharply and get good drive control, but the moment you're pushed even slightly off the table, you have to swing all-out on every ball.
That said, control on shots that don't involve much swing speed, like blocks, is lacking.
Because the ball sinks in so well, the short game is affected by spin far more than usual. Sharp, low pushes are really easy to produce with it.

Great performance for the price. I've only ever used the black sheet, so I can't speak to the red one.
The rubber is heavy, so unless you pair it with a light blade and a lighter tension rubber on the other side, I don't think you could get through back-to-back matches.

More speed and easier to use than Hurricane or Skyline, and better spin performance than Xianglong or Huilong.

      A pretty orthodox tacky rubber.
