The VS > 402 Double Extra is a further development of the very popular VS > 401. This innovation combines the very tacky, elastic top rubber sheet with a modern, slightly harder offensive sponge. The new sponge/top rubber sheet combination makes this High Energy Tension rubber the ideal weapon for any spin-oriented allrounder. The extremely tacky and flexible top rubber sheet virtually tacks the ball and produces fantastic spin both in topspin play and in defensive strokes with heavy backspin. Thanks to the optimized offensive sponge, the VS > 402 Double Extra is even more dynamic than the VS > 401, which is a great advantage in topspin play. However, even with the higher speed, the rubber still provides for high control and tackiness for dangerous backspin variants.

I was struggling over what equipment to pick, and this caught my eye, so I gave it a try.
Forehand: Double Extra (2.0)
Backhand: Tackiness Chop (extra thin)
Blade: I'm using an Innerforce ALC ♪
I'm using this for an attacking style ♪
○ Forehand topspin drives go in even if you're a bit off on the point of contact, and you can really put spin on the ball, so even when pushed back you can still attack with stability.
It feels bouncy, but it also feels like you can make fine adjustments, so I can recommend it ♪
I think it's a rubber that lets you gradually get a feel for the finer techniques too, which could be a good stepping stone for improving ♪
○ On the backhand, my style is to place the ball with the extra-thin rubber and then, once I've got some breathing room, flip and finish the point with Double Extra — but with this,
the bounce is good and I felt backhand drives had a slight tendency to go long.
But the spin and speed are amazing, so
it might be a good pick for anyone who wants to boost their backhand speed and spin ♪
○ Personally I think it's better on the forehand than the backhand ♪
○ It feels like a V15 Extra with the speed slightly boosted ♪

This is a classic chopper's rubber. I tried this out as the rubber legendary player Koji Matsushita developed.
It's called a low-tack rubber, and there's basically no tackiness to it. Instead, it gives off the kind of "dirty," unpredictable ball you get from Chinese tacky rubbers.
Its spin control on chops is good, and when countering, the attacking power is really good too. The spin on serves is also recommended. Short serves are good, but long serves have great power.
For chopping, it's a rubber worth trying at least once.

Old-school chopper (Experience: More than ２０ years) Feels great

Impressions from a chopper's perspective.
I had been using Tackifire D (medium sponge), but wanting a bit more spin and bounce, I tried switching to the VS402 Double Extra in 2.0mm.
Topspin drives really extend well, and smashes feel faster than before too.
On the other hand, chops stay under control, and it seems to carry good spin too.
Overall I think it's a rubber with a good balance between offense and defense.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Hard

Kaorin Slightly tacky tension rubber

I labeled it as a "slightly tacky" tension rubber, but honestly it's barely tacky at all. Lol
I think it's fine to just think of it as a tension rubber that spins really well! The sheet is solid so it lasts a long time and offers great value for money — if you're a chopper, you really should use this one.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

First off, this is not a tacky rubber, so don't buy it expecting a tacky feel. It's a spin-oriented tension rubber. If you've used the VS>401, you'll know it has great chopping performance but is hard to attack with — this rubber fixes that. It's on the harder side, but it's still easy to use, keeps the same great bite, and is a very high-performance rubber overall.

The speed is decent, but it really does spin. The amount of spin when hitting a topspin drive especially is amazing. Since it's not that fast, it's also easy to control.
It might be good for people new to tacky rubbers, but I don't think it suits experienced tacky rubber users.All Speed Spin Control
