In this rubber developed by Butterfly “microlayer” technology is used to enhance the grip at the ball contact.
The combination with the “High Tension” technology leads to greater rotation and pace than the previous BRYCE series.

TECHNOLOGY
The High Tension technology interweaves the molecules of various rubber material so that the rubber in contact with the ball contracted very intense. Thus, the ball gets a reinforced pulse.
18 years ago the first BRYCE flooring with High Tension technology has been brought to market. Since as long ago the Department of research works and development of Butterfly on refining this patented technology, the ability of the rubber material to speed development to increase still further.
The latest result of this research is Bryce HIGH SPEED which the ball higher speed gives as all other coverings developed to date.
THE NEW “MICROLAYER” TECHNOLOGY INCREASING SPEED AND ROTATION
Micro Layer vs Normal: Furthermore, a new achievement of the Butterfly research is processed in BRYCE HIGH SPEED: the technique of “microlayer”. In addition to the enormous speed the ball can be given upon contact also much rotation.
The flooring surface is remarkably thin. The pad is pressed in contact with the ball and the surface contracts. A high rotation is generated in tangential meeting place. It was deliberately chosen a simple nap structure, which optimizes the covering on speed.

The speed is fast, it generates plenty of spin, and control is excellent. Also, since the sponge is soft, it suits the backhand better than the forehand.
In a word, it's a Bryce Speed FX that spins really well.All Speed Spin Control

Timo ALC (Experience: ４〜５ years) Flies really well!

I normally play mid-to-close to the table with Rakza X on both sides of a Timo Boll ALC.
I tried Bryce High Speed on both forehand and backhand, comparing it against the Rakza X I have on one side.
The first thing I noticed on the forehand was that the stability in rallies from mid-to-far from the table is insane.
The trajectory is low, but somehow it still lands on the table.
That said, counters close to the table are a bit tricky until you get used to it.
On the backhand, chiquita was hard to pull off, but really fast blocks land well, so it might suit players who don't drive from their own initiative.
For a speed-oriented rubber I think it still generates a fair amount of spin, so it should be great for someone using a speed rubber who wants a bit more spin.
On the other hand, players used to spin-oriented rubbers will probably find it a bit lacking.

Do you know Tenergy 64?
Tenergy 05 is expensive, but I can accept that given how good its performance is. Between Bryce Speed and Bryce Speed FX, you'd obviously go with the FX version, right? But a lot of people probably agonize over Bryce Speed FX versus Tenergy 64 when thinking about the price. That's because up until now the Bryce series has been weak on spin. But I think this new Bryce High Speed actually beats Tenergy 64. The Bryce series has evolved a lot. The amount of spin is about the same as Tenergy 64, and the speed is way beyond both Bryce Speed FX and Tenergy 64. For the price, I don't think Tenergy 64 is all that great. Compared to that, Bryce High Speed uses a micro-layer and gives you high performance for cheap. I think Bryce is about to open a new era when it comes to speed. Why not give it a try?
