The sponge is on the softer side, so the ball sinks in nicely and you get good speed. The sheet also has strong grip, so a drive where you sink the ball in and brush it comes out pretty powerful. That said, the ceiling on speed isn't that high, so I'd recommend it more for an advanced player's backhand or up to an intermediate player's forehand. It has no real quirks and its overall performance is evenly high across the board, so I think it'll satisfy just about anyone. Every Joola rubber I've tried has been great, so I really recommend everyone give them a try.

The sound when you hit the ball is really satisfying! On hard shots the ball flies exactly the way you'd expect, but honestly this rubber's real value is in that great sound it makes.
