    The soft alternative

Our VIPER has quickly become one of the most versatile and effective long pimple rubbers on the market. VIPER SOFT is a new development with even softer pimples.
The rubber produces a low bouncing, wobbly ball both while blocking passively and for chop-blocking.

The new rubber formula also allows for more backspin while chopping from behind the table.

Furthermore we managed to keep the outstanding attacking possibilities of VIPER for this new version, thus creating a long pimple rubber that excels in a variety of fields.

    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
The soft pimples are the defining feature, earning high marks for cutting performance and ball control. However, many users note that swing speed and touch precision are required for effective use.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Soft pimples allow longer ball contact time
    • Sharp cuts and reliable blocking performance
    • Excellent control against opponent drives
    • Ball tends to drop without sufficient swing speed
    • Well-suited for pen-hold pimple users and aggressive play
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveThe soft pimples enable powerful, sharp cuts while allowing long ball contact. Blocking is easy, and it suits both cutmen and pen-hold pimple players.
▽ CriticalWithout solid swing technique, the ball becomes linear and falls easily. Opponents may adapt, making it vulnerable if variations are limited.

I'm a chopper who uses pips-out on the reverse side.
With this rubber, the number one thing is
that even blocks go in easily.
If you're going to chop, (going all out)
you need to make your swing speed extremely fast
and swing all the way through.

If you're doing a short push,
a sidespin push is probably the way to go.
Since it's soft, even putting a strong impact into it
probably won't get you much spin.

      As applied technique,
there's attacking with sidespin awareness through irregular-rubber style attacks,
      or faking a sidespin push
      and pushing through instead.
There are quite a few options like that.

Mr. Sho (Experience: 2〜3 years) If you can handle it, a terrifyingly venomous fang!

      Reviews by user

I started out as a chopper,
and after making my debut with long pips,
I was looking for long pips that were easy to use and found Viper Soft.

      The pips are very soft,
and as long as your swing speed is sufficient,
it's easy to pick up the opponent's spin on chops and turn it into heavy backspin.

However, if you get the angle even slightly wrong, you can easily net the ball
      or have it drop short.

If you don't hesitate and touch the ball quickly,
the chop is more than enough.

      Chop-blocks and regular blocks
tend to come out as knuckle balls,
so adjust your angle with that in mind (^_^)V

      For attacking,
if you use the long-pips push while focusing on a sideways-upward motion,
      it goes in just fine.
The key is picturing lifting the ball up from below.
