Speed is easy to adjust, and control is good. It picks up a decent amount of spin, so you can do stops and drives too. That said, if you prioritize speed, it might feel a bit lacking. I'd recommend it to beginners who aren't yet stable, or to advanced players who want to confuse opponents by varying their speed.

Taro Nobishiro (Experience: 4〜5 years) For you, trying vertical grain for the first time

      Reviews by user

I bought this when I switched my backhand short pips to my forehand. It's 2.0mm thick. With a compact swing you can just meet the ball and ignore a fair amount of incoming spin. The speed is more than enough too - I've had prefectural-tournament lobbers who couldn't even keep up...
You can also get drives in during topspin rallies if you work the angle right. It might not be the best for long rallies, but a single shot hits really hard. I'd recommend it to anyone trying vertical-pip short pips for the first time!

pen meat (Experience: 6〜10 years) A modern-day Mollist SP

Recently I've used the Spectrum S2 and Sonic AR, both speed-oriented short pips, and this one has better balance than either.
Most speed-oriented short pips these days have great grip on the ball and combine spin with bounce, but that tends to make knuckle balls harder to produce and shots come out too straight. This rubber, though, produces solid knuckle balls.
Even just meeting the ball lightly against my opponent's topspin drive, I got high-quality knuckle balls that dropped dead on their side, whether on forehand or backhand push.
I don't even have to try to create it myself - when my opponent's ball has good quality, it turns into a knuckle ball on its own.
That said, there's little slipping on serves and pushes too, so the spin stays consistent.
The spin on my drive is about average for a speed-oriented rubber, but again there's no slipping.
The trajectory is a bit flat and the ball often sails long instead of dipping down, so you need to adjust for that, but considering it combines speed and variation, I found it doesn't fly off wildly and it's easy to change pace.
It's obviously great on the backhand with a shakehand grip, but I'd also recommend it for penhold players using short pips who feel they lack that finishing shot with spin-oriented pips.

Flat hits, topspin drives, smashes, chiquitas.
It can do it all, and it reminded me a lot of Moristo SP.

It's easy to adjust your speed with, and easy to control. The spin is only so-so, but it works fine for everyday play.

Naughty (Experience: 4〜5 years) An attacking short-pips rubber with great speed and stability

      Reviews by user

It had been a while, but a friend let me try their short pips rubber, so here's my review! First off, this rubber has high speed and stability. The speed isn't dramatically fast, but it's easy to adjust. And for short pips, it gets a bit of spin on the ball. It also doesn't turn into a knuckleball all that easily. I'd recommend it to anyone trying short pips for the first time.

I use this on my forehand. It gets a decent amount of spin and produces normal speed, so as a short-pips user I found it an easy rubber to use.
