STIGA Vertical are our latest long pimple rubbers, developed in close collaboration with former Japanese National Team player Masato Shino. The pimple structure for Vertical 20 and Vertical 55 is placed in a vertical angle providing extra control and stability in your defensive strokes. These rubbers are made in Japan and developed specially for the ABS-ball to increase the spin of the modern defensive game.

After about a month of use, first off, compared to other long pips rubbers, it's easy to control and the ball goes right where you want it, so
it's stable.
Pushes and chops both get solid spin, so it does its job as a long pips rubber too.
If there's a downside, it's that it doesn't produce much speed, but that's true of other long pips rubbers as well, so it's not a problem at all. I use the Cyber Shape Wood blade, and it's been very easy to use and a real go-to for me. For a chopping blade, I'd say something like the STIGA Defensive Pro or Classic would

I've used the P1, P4, and Feint Long series before, and for control, this beats every other long pips rubber I've tried. Thanks to that, both chops and pushes come in low. But when it comes to spin, no matter how fast I swing or how much I tilt the pips, it never surpasses the P1 or P4, and my practice partners, who are used to my game, end up telling me it's not spinning much. I'd say this is for players who can just pick up ball after ball and grind it out. For anyone with monster stamina or court coverage the size of the Tokyo Dome, this one's for your reference.

The amount of spin is pretty high.
Pushes don't float easily and grip the ball well.
Chop blocks are easy to do.

I used the extra-thin version. The push gets great spin. Chops don't feel like they float at all — they dive in on a straight line. It's very soft, so it pairs well with a hard blade. Compared to Feint Long 3, the ball comes off slower with a gentler trajectory. It's very stable, so it works for everyone from advanced players to beginners.

Vertical 20 spins like crazy off the opponent's own spin, and if you try to add spin yourself, you can get some too. The push takes a bit of getting used to. Chops are easy to keep low and control well, so you can send a spinning ball right where you're aiming. This is the best long pips rubber out there, usable from beginners all the way up to advanced players!!

I'm a chopper. Though with a roughly 4:6 split between attacking and defense, opponents often asked me "wait, which are you? lol"
I used the extra-thin version of Vertical 20.
The moment I first hit with it, I fell in love.
There's genuinely nothing it can't do.
Blocking and chopping have outstanding stability.
On top of that, I could even hit a chiquita with solid spin, and the control was the best. I was even a little worried it might count as an illegal anti-spin rubber, lol.
If I had to name a flaw, it's that, partly due to the vertical pip arrangement, it's hard to get much variation in the chop.
The sponge hardness is 20°, but aside from when blocking, I don't feel much softness.
