    DONIC DEFPLAY CLASSIC Senso
As its name indicates, the new DEFPLAY CLASSIC Senso has been developed by DONIC blade experts for the classic defensive game. Long range defence, as well as sudden unexpected attacking close to the table, can be successfully undertaken with this new model. Weighing approximately 70 grammes or less, this blade is a light weight among the modern blades despite the larger size.
Two balsa middle plies glued together, give the DEFPLAY CLASSIC Senso fantastic control and a superb feel.
The Koto and Ayous outer plies enable the player to switch to a safe attacking game when under pressure.
DEFPLAY CLASSIC Senso - The cream of classical defensive players.

    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
Highly rated as a racket for cut-style players, with its non-bouncy characteristics and lightweight design achieving both spin and control performance. However, the limited flight distance is not suitable for aggressive players or advanced players in some cases.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Excellent cutting performance with sharpness and stability
    • Lightweight design with good weight balance when equipped with dual rubbers
    • Non-bouncy properties allow usage from beginners to advanced players
    • Limited flight distance during attacks makes it unsuitable for drive-focused players
    • Defensive techniques like pushing and blocking are easy to master
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveSince the racket itself doesn't bounce much, even with bouncy rubber on the forehand, cuts are easy to control, attacks have moderate bounce, and the cutting sharpness on both sides is incredibly sharp.
▽ CriticalThe non-bouncy characteristic is a feature, but with this racket the ball doesn't fly enough and cuts become rather difficult. The use case is unclear to me.

      It'll improve your chopping.
That said, it's a bit big and heavy, so I wouldn't recommend it for serving.

I'm playing with Hurricane 9 Blue on the forehand.
      I'll be honest.
My reaction was, "This is it!" The ball flies a bit slower, so it's easy to recover your stance afterward, and you can churn out heavy chops one after another.

Back grain height cut man (Experience: 4〜5 years) Easy to use in every way!

      Player reviews

Since the blade itself doesn't have much bounce, even with the bouncy DNA Pro H on the forehand, chops are still easy to keep under control, and when attacking it bounces just the right amount, making it very easy to attack with — overall extremely easy to use. On the backhand I switched from short pips to Vertical 20 long pips, and it made it easy to control even hard-hit balls or ones with strong topspin. The sharpness of the chop was amazing on both forehand and backhand!! Pushes were also easy and completely stress-free! The Defplay Classic Senso is a blade I highly recommend for choppers!!

City overall 1 year victory Cutman (Experience: 4〜5 years)

      Player reviews

The blade itself is light and doesn't bounce much, so on forehand chops I can cut as hard as I want without going long, and I can hit really sharp, biting chops. However, on backhand chops, maybe because I was using short pips, I had a lot of over-the-table misses and the chops didn't bite as well. Pushes were super easy and totally stress-free. Attacking shots like drives take some getting used to. Since the blade itself is light, it might be worth putting a heavier rubber on it.

The man who falls (Experience: 2〜3 years) It'll work out!

      Player reviews

I'm a beginner chopper lol. I used to play mid-distance drives with short pips on the backhand, but I switched to chopping with anti-spin rubber on the B side, so I bought this on Mercari! I'm a beginner so I'm not sure I can review this well, but I'll give it a shot!
Both forehand and backhand chops just land on the table on their own! Balls where I think "oh, that one was a mistake" still go in! It's almost scary how much it goes in lol. Both beginners and advanced players can use it! Attacking is stable too! Once I get to intermediate level, I'd like to write another review!

Perfect for chopping. High potential for counter-attacks. Matches well with a variety of anti-spin rubbers.

    • 21-year-old cutman

21-year-old cutman (Experience: 6〜10 years) Low bounce, but that's the appeal

      Player reviews

The features of this blade are:

      it doesn't bounce much
the grip is hollow, shifting the weight toward the tip

so chopping gives you stable control, and having the weight toward the tip also makes it easy to put a lot of spin on your chops!
But the biggest point is that it's light (mine weighed 68g).
Depending on the rubber, even with inverted rubber on both sides it comes out to around 160-170g, so the weight doesn't change all that much compared to a blade with long pips or short pips on the B side, which is really nice for someone like me who uses inverted-inverted, inverted+long pips, and inverted+short pips setups.

That said, I was surprised by the distinctive light "pon" sound it makes on impact, but if that doesn't bother you, I'd say it's an excellent blade.
