      Overall the rubber feels hard, or rather, tightly packed, and you can feel a stability and springiness that doesn't lose out even against powerful drives.

      It bounces a bit more than the plain Spectrum.
      The spin isn't extreme, but it doesn't slip - you can really feel it grip the ball, and it stays stable even on hard hits.

      Knuckle balls are only slightly weaker than the Spectrum's - about the same as Hammond FA.
      If you hit it straight back, you get a clean knuckle ball, but just blocking a drive won't naturally flip the spin.
      Of course, if you try to produce one, it's easy, and it's easy to control.

      Blocks fly out slightly upward, but they still land in on the opponent's side.

      What surprised me was the push.
      The ball doesn't come off too fast and gets a solid grip, so you can confidently vary between cutting it and not cutting it. Chiquita is also easy to do with this.

      Drives against backspin are stable in the same way.

      I was a cat (Experience: ６〜１０ years) Hard pips-out is great!

      Up until now I'd been pairing a hard blade with a soft rubber - an Aqua Blade with Morrist SP.

      That was a really good combination, but I bought a spare blade in case I ever face someone above my level.

      This time, I decided to pair a softer blade with a harder rubber.

      What I chose was a Sriek, a pure 7-ply wood blade like the Aqua Blade, paired with what I think is the hardest short pips out there, the Pachi Sma V.

      As I expected, flat hits don't fly much, so overshoot misses dropped drastically, and drives now draw an arc with more stability.

      Blocks also have fewer overshoot misses, and opponents seem to be struggling with the knuckle balls.

      I beat the top seed at a tournament the other day. As expected, that hard Chinese-made rubber looked tough for them to handle.

      Pen meat (Experience: ６〜１０ years) The complete form of a short-pips rubber

      Used the thick version on the topsheet.
      It's a spin-oriented short pips rubber, but the pips run vertically. Along with the sponge, it's quite hard and the ball leaves it quickly.
      That said, it doesn't fly too much, so I found it easy to keep blocks under control and easy to vary pace.
      The topsheet grips well, and there's almost no slipping on drives, yet you can still produce a heavy knuckle ball with a flat hit, which allows for a lot of varied play.
      If I had to point out a weakness, stop and push shots tend to slip, probably because of how quickly the ball leaves the surface, so it suits a light, early-timing touch more than a full graze.

      This is a well-balanced rubber with the typical traits of a Chinese-made short pips.
      The topsheet grips the ball strongly, and the rubber itself is quite hard.
      If you brush it with the sheet, you get solid spin, and if you meet it flat, you get a knuckle ball.

      I think it suits choppers, penhold short pips users, and the forehand side of a shakehand blade.

      If you use it on the backhand side of a shakehand blade, I don't think it will suit players who like to sink the ball into the sponge to add spin, or players who aren't good at flicking/hitting the ball flat.
