It really flies. My first three shots were completely uncontrollable. I switched to this from a different pips rubber, and it suited me perfectly, but I don't think it's for everyone. Using this really requires a good feel for the game more than anything. Also, for short pips I think it grips the ball quite a lot. Even against backspin or sidespin serves, I can smash it back without any trouble. For blocking, as long as you have good reflexes, just putting your racket there turns it into something like a counter.

First off, this is a fast-flying short pips rubber.
No matter the situation, you get that classic short-pips type ball. I used max thickness, and my impression is that this is a rubber purely for going on the attack yourself. Defending and countering asked too much of me. Even a little humidity made it unmanageable for me. Stops in the short game also popped up too high and were hard to control. I was hoping for something like the Spectrum, but the friction wasn't quite to my taste (´-`)
Since I use topspin drives a lot, I couldn't bring out this rubber's potential. Though I think there are a few players out there it would suit. It might be good for someone who goes for a super-fast smash on the third ball, or receives every serve with a flick...
That said, I wouldn't recommend it to someone playing penhold with rubber on only one side. Because the power and speed are so strong, it narrows down your options for other techniques.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

It bounces quite a bit. So the ball has a lot of power behind it.
Compared to the Attack 8, backhand topspin drives were much easier to do.
That said, it's also more affected by incoming spin because of it.

I switched from Mizuno's Booster HP (medium) and now use the 2.0. It's really fast. Just hitting a floating ball flat gives you a lot of speed. Topspin drives are stable too. Counter-drives can slip sometimes, but smashes are fine, so that's easy. And it grips the ball well too. I liked the feel of this one better than the Booster HP. It's perfect if you believe short pips are all about speed. I might use this for life.

First, just talking about the rubber on its own - maybe because I used it during a humid time of year, but it felt slipperier than its reputation suggests. Also, the smallish pips (a combination of trapezoid and cylinder shapes) seemed to give in against strong incoming spin, which made control difficult. It might be good for a technical player who can work around the pips giving in, but it was a difficult rubber for me.
As for blade pairing, I think it might work well with a blade that's only hard near the top ply but cushioned inside. The two issues above - "fairly slippery" and "pips give in" - would probably be somewhat reduced since the blade would compensate for the trajectory.
On the other hand, paired with a blade like mine that's hard all the way from the core to the top ply, these two issues really came to the surface.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

Lives up to the hype. I used both thick and max thickness. I started with thick, and compared to the Morist SP, the ball flies higher and the pips are firm enough that it doesn't slip. Even during the rainy season the humidity barely affects it, and with pips lined up vertically, you basically won't get an unwanted knuckleball just from a normal volley/block. When you catch the opponent's shot slightly off the sweet spot on defense, you get a nice floaty knuckleball. Its best feature is when you hit hard. If you smash a loose ball, the fast shot sticks in the opponent's court and goes through untouched. Even if the opponent gets a racket on it, since this fast shot is a knuckleball, it drops even on contact. I really liked this high-speed knuckle effect. The Spectrum Red could also produce fast shots, but they had topspin on them, so opponents were often able to get to them. Maybe because I used the thick version, my shots landed a bit shallow and were easy for opponents to reach, but once I switched to max thickness, shots started reaching all the way to the end line. Comparing the two thicknesses, this isn't a rubber you win with knuckleballs anyway, so there's no real difference in how often they come out. Spin is also easy to put on, so chiquita and serves are easy too. Weight is about 31g for thick and about 33g even for max thickness, so it's usable even with a heavy blade or rubber. I'd recommend max thickness for men and thick for women. A great rubber for aggressive short-pips play.

This rubber really flies.
Switching over from Spin Pips Blue, I dropped from max thickness to thick, and even so I couldn't control it for the first three shots or so.
The sponge is a bit soft so the ball sinks into it somewhat, but if you use a stiff blade or catch the ball early, it bounces back sharply.
It's a speed-oriented short pips, but serves and loop drives still get plenty of spin - imagine the Spectrum Red's bounce turned up about two notches.
The smash, which is the lifeline of short pips, is quite fast too, and it's fine to use even without glue.
As for knuckle blocks, it's about on par with the Spectrum Red - neither particularly good nor bad.
It flies so much that the fine touch shots will take some time to get used to.
