For pure knuckle balls, this rubber beats every other variant-pips rubber out there by a head. What sets it apart from the other rubbers in the Killer series is that you can use it proactively — smashing, countering, blocking to stop the ball — without depending on what your opponent gives you. Speed-wise it's a bit less lively than high-elasticity pips, noticeably more lively than long pips, and slightly more lively than other variant pips. On the forehand you can even do topspin rallies after backing off a bit. On the backhand, hitting backspin balls or doing topspin rallies from off the table with any real speed was impossible for me. On receive, it picks up more spin than long pips, but since it does hold a little spin, you can also add spin when returning knuckle long balls. On serve, it grips enough that the ball won't float even if your opponent pushes it back. Basically everything comes out as a knuckle ball, with only a tiny bit of spin possible on pushes, flicks, or drives. Chopping isn't impossible, but if chopping is your goal I'd recommend a different rubber. It's short pips, but go in expecting a quirky variant-pips rubber. If you're going to play with this rubber, I'd recommend using a figure-eight stroke. I'd especially recommend this to players without much athletic ability, players who want to stop more blocks and produce knuckle balls with short pips, and all-forehand players.
