This rubber is perfect for people who like hard rubbers! Because it's hard, the ball comes in sharp on the opponent's side of the table! I'd recommend it for the backhand, though honestly I personally think it'd be fine on both sides too. It gets plenty of spin as well, and it's better than G-1.

I used 1.9mm thickness on both sides.
Bounce: pretty strong. Sheet: on the hard side.
A drive where you really smash into the ball is amazing - it grips the ball well, flies in a straight line, and comes out super fast. Unfortunately, a drive where you brush up with the sheet tends to fall short. This is a rubber where you unlock its potential by hitting straight into the ball. I wouldn't recommend it for people with sensitive backhands. If you use Dignics and think "the bounce is too high, the arc is too much," this is the one for you. Best close to the table or at mid-distance. The feel on contact has that sharp, booster-type "crack" - the sound is genuinely great! Right after gluing it on, the sheet is sensitive, so for me it got easier to use after about a week once it broke in. From there, the sheet lasts around two months. Even after the sheet is done, the sponge still gives you good bounce, so it's plenty usable. I'd say it holds up pretty well. You can get this level of performance for 5,000 yen, so the value for money is great. These days rubbers over 8,000-10,000 yen are the norm, but Nittaku really delivers here.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

I used the custom-order version of Hammond Z2.
Even a light tap let me feel the softness!
Techniques I found easy: drives, smashes, pushes
Techniques I found hard: blocks, serves
Attacking techniques like drives and smashes felt really easy to pull off.
Blocks felt like they'd drop short, and I felt the spin on serves was lacking.

For me, hitting against backspin, counters, and topspin rallies from a bit off the table all felt especially good.

I used the custom-order version (35 degrees).
Even though it's the custom version, maybe because the sheet is hard, the feel on impact was on the harder side.
Whatever technique you use, you can rely on it for intense grip on the ball.
In particular, you can generate intense spin even on serves and pushes.

D05: 48g, 50.0°
T05: 47g, 44.6°1. Made in Japan, but counters are as easy as with a German-made rubber!

Even though it's a Japanese-made rubber, it has that German-rubber character in a good way - an aggressive rubber that doesn't lose out to the opponent's drives. The tension is also strong, giving it a hard-bouncing feel, which made it feel like an aggressive rubber. Drives drive in hard, and at the same time counters are easy to hit, so it felt aggressive and really suited my taste.
