Among all the large-ball rubbers out there, this was the best one for me.
Speed, spin, and control are all good, and it's easy to use.Overall Speed Spin Control

Overall, the balance between speed, spin, and control is great.
Your mistakes go down.
Especially for beginner to intermediate players, starting out with this rubber is a safe bet.
If you feel Tenergy has quirks and is hard to handle, try this rubber instead.
My kid went through a bunch of different rubbers, but in the end settled on this one.
And their careless mistakes went down, and they started winning!!
It's also great value for money, so I recommend it.Overall Speed Spin Control

The reviews here were good, so I went ahead and bought it right away.
It's a Chinese-style penhold blade, so the light weight really helps. (78 grams)
I'd been using the Evanholz V for a long time before this, and compared to that, this one is definitely softer.
But because of that, it's just really easy to use!!
- It generates speed.
- Easy to put spin on the ball.
- Easy to control.
- Being light, switching to the backhand side is easy.
- The sound on contact is nice too.
- Easy to play everything from delicate short-game shots to close-to-the-table and mid-distance play.
All in all, nothing but good things to say. It's such a great blade that it almost feels like my skill level went up. I think any rubber would work with it, so from here I'll fine-tune things with rubber choice.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch

I believe Kasumi Ishikawa was using this when it first came out.
It's labeled hard but is actually soft, more like medium in practice.
I'm satisfied with everything - speed, spin, feel, and control.
On top of that, I was surprised it's about 10 grams lighter than the poly-ball-era rubbers that are popular now.
So it's come in handy for my backhand. (Still using it now.)
The performance holds up just as well as the newest rubbers, and it's cheap, so I'd still recommend it even today.Overall Speed Spin Control

If you're going with short pips, starting with Spectol is probably the safe choice.
Every technique is easy to do, and control is good, so I'd recommend it for building your basic technique.
On top of that, it produces knuckle balls, it's cheap, and it's still a great rubber no matter how many years go by.Overall Speed Spin Control
