Back in my school days I used the Spectrum, and I remember that whenever I tried to drive with it, the ball would just drop straight down. This comment is written with that experience in mind.
The feel gives you that quick ball-release typical of short pips, but the spin goes way beyond what you'd normally expect from short pips. Actually, there's enough rebound that you can have normal topspin rallies from mid-distance (lol).
You can also produce tricky knuckle balls, but it's hard unless you're doing it on purpose, so if you want something that's easy to use, the XB is probably a better fit.

The ball grip is better than the 05, and I could really feel that ball-holding sensation the rubber has.
This rubber gave me the strongest sense of that distinctive Tenergy feel. It has no quirks, can handle any technique, and suits any blade. It did feel a bit middle-of-the-road, and personally it didn't excite me as much as the 64, but that middle-ground performance is at a really high level.
If it's your first time trying Tenergy, I'd recommend starting with the 80. From there, if you want more spin, move to the 05, and if you want more speed, move to the 64 — you won't go wrong.

The balance of speed, spin, and control is exquisite, and the bounce is just right.
It feels like it works with any rubber - tacky or tension - and while it does have weight to it, you can hit balls that make use of that weight, so I'd recommend it to players with strength.
As a side note, using this new model I could tell it has the quality to last a long time, which makes me genuinely struggle to understand why they discontinued the previous model in the first place.

Spin performance is on par with Tenergy 05, but the rebound is lower, so ball control is easier with this one.
Unlike tension rubbers, it's closer to a high-elasticity rubber, so it's a rubber with clear contrast where you can control the power yourself. It's a bit on the harder side, so if anything it suits power hitters.

Used on the forehand. The spin is more than enough, and even though it's tacky (slightly tacky), both speed and distance are great, making it easy to control depth and change pace. Also, maybe because it's hard, blocks and smashes come out surprisingly fast.
Recommended for people who want speed from a tacky rubber, or for penholders using only one side.
