    I think this is a masterpiece rubber that Japan can be proud of on the world stage.
    Back in the 38mm ball era, you could largely ignore spin and just smash away with it...

    But in the 40mm plastic ball era it felt completely different. (I had a break of nearly 20 years from the sport.)
    That said, the first thing to note is that TSP's red sponge is light and soft, so I'd recommend it to middle schoolers wanting to try short pips for the first time, as well as older players who've been enjoying table tennis for years.

    Even with a light touch you can send the ball off crisply, so it's fun to hit with.

    I couldn't generate spin myself, but because the sponge is soft, I think this rubber is the type that makes it relatively easy to get spin on the ball.

    I'd say this is a good rubber for players who struggle with heavy racket weight.
