This is one of my favorite rubbers.
I use it on the forehand.- Topspin drive (gets spin even on light hits)
- Smash (very easy to do)
- Serve (gets plenty of spin)
- Block (very easy to do)
- Counter (very easy to do)
- Receive (easy since it's less affected by the opponent's spin)Some people say it causes energy loss or whatever, but at an intermediate level that absolutely does not happen.
If anything, using this instead of the 05 makes you far less likely to drop matches against opponents who are below or around your level.Overall Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

I bought this because it's described as a lightly tacky tension rubber.
True to that description, it was pretty much a tension rubber. It felt very similar to a rubber called Hurricane 3-50.
It doesn't easily produce that nasty tacky-style ball, so I'd recommend Shoryu instead if that's what you're after. That said, if you're just after raw spin, Shining Dragon should do the job fine!

It's basically just the Clipper Wood with carbon powder added to the second ply, but the bounce is noticeably higher.
It still keeps that soft, wood-like feel on contact, and I think it's a lot more versatile than the recent special-material blades.Like the Clipper Wood, the blade is thick, so it doesn't flex much, but in exchange it's incredibly stable for smashes, flat hitting, blocking, and countering.
I'd recommend this to anyone struggling with overshooting on special-material blades, or with the short game, or who wants to bump up the bounce of the 7-ply blade they're currently using.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness Little hard

It's pretty hard.
A hardness you wouldn't expect from wood. It really made me realize that VPS technology is basically like an outer carbon blade.
It's also fairly heavy, so I'd say it's for advanced players. That said, the looks and finish are top-notch.
I think it's the bounciest blade in STIGA's current wood lineup, so if you're curious, definitely give it a try.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness Hard

This was the very first blade I bought.
It's a 7-ply, but the feel is soft and it was very easy to use. It's a great choice for anyone looking to build up more powerful play from here.
