  As a VO101 user, I tried this one right away. I used 1.8mm on the forehand side of a 7-ply penhold blade.

  First off, unlike the 101 or 102 where something stands out but something else is lacking, everything here is at a high level and the control range is wide.

  【Speed】Compared to the 101, thanks to the finer air bubbles in the sponge (higher hardness), there's no mushy give, and the initial speed felt higher. Angled shots felt more stable ◎

  【Spin】Even choppy, broken pushes come up easily. Unlike the 102 where everything gets spin regardless, you can control the spin amount by how much you brush it, which is also a plus ◎.
  Serves bite well too.

  【Push】This is the performance I liked the most. Since I consider it my first attacking shot, I put a lot of weight on this, and it lets you get deep, sharp, well-cut pushes in easily ◎◎.

  【Knuckle】When I hit forehand shots, my opponent kept hitting the net. On the other hand, when I closed the racket face slightly on impact, the ball didn't slip and landed on the table with topspin instead, causing the opponent to go long. Blocks are the same way.

  If you're the type who just gently touches the ball on receives or attacks, you'll find it hard to control since the rubber's elasticity will send the ball flying on its own ×.
  I'd recommend this for players who have mastered impact-based technique.

  早速VO101ユーザーとして試してみました。7枚合板ペンフォア側に1.8mmです。

  まず、101や102のように何か飛び抜けてるが何か難ありという印象はなく、全て高いレベルでコントロール幅が広いです。

  【スピード】101に比べ気泡の細かいスポンジの影響で(硬度高)グニャっと潰れる感が無く初速が上がった印象です。角度打ちは安定感が増しました◎

  【スピン】ブツギレのツッツキも難なく持ち上がります。102のように何でもスピンがかかるわけで無く、擦り加減でコントロール出来るのも◎。
  サーブも良く掛かります。

  【ツッツキ】一番良いと感じた性能です。攻撃の一発目と考えているため特に重要視していますが、深く鋭い+切れた球が入れやすい◎◎。

  【ナックル】フォア打ちから相手はネットにかけまくっていました。逆にインパクト時に少し面を被せると滑る事なく台に収まり前進回転な為相手はオーバー。ブロックも同様です。

  レシーブ、攻撃などそっと当てに行く方はラバーの弾性の影響を受けて勝手に飛んでしまうため操作が難しいと感じると思います×。
  インパクトの技術習得者にはオススメです。

  VO＞101

  

  *Note: if you're overshooting a lot, swing all the way through to head height and it'll land on the table. If you stop the swing halfway, it flies off.

  It doesn't suit a blade that's meant for holding and flinging the ball with flex.
  I tried it on a relatively hard blade and it was great.

  [Speed]
  Even hard hits drop at the end (not quite an arc, but close), so there's a sense of stability.

  [Spin] If you have the basics of short pips topspin down, the ball won't slip off, and you can make your opponent overshoot their blocks. Mixing this with knuckleball drives lets you keep the opponent off balance.

  [Serve]
  A long knuckleball serve deep to the backhand is a dangerous weapon. It wobbles and drops, and at district tournament level I've never seen it returned cleanly.

  [Block, Counter]
  It feels like you can send the opponent's speed straight back at them. If you take the pace off, you can even produce short blocks that feel like underspin.

  [Receive]
  If you relax and just meet the ball with the racket face, it becomes nicely insensitive to spin, and stopping the ball is easy too.
  Pressing into it half-heartedly doesn't work.

  This isn't a rubber for someone who just switched to forehand short pips or hasn't mastered the fundamentals of short pips play yet.

  ※追記:オーバーミスが多い方はラケットを頭の位置まで振り抜くと台に収まります。途中で止めるとぶっ飛びます。

  球を持ち、しなりで飛ばすようなラケットには合わないです。
  比較的硬いラケットで試しましたが◎。

  【‪スピード】
  強打でも最後落ちる(弧線とまではいかない)ので安定感あり。

  【スピン】表ドライブの基礎が出来ていれば滑らず、相手のブロックをオーバーミスさせることも出来ます。ナックルドライブとの使い分けで相手を翻弄出来ます。

  【サーブ】
  バック深くへのナックルロングは危険球。ブレ球だし落ちるし地区大会レベルではしっかり返球された事はありません。

  【ブロック、カウンター】
  相手のスピードをそのまま送り返せる感覚。勢いを殺せばもはや下回転レベルのショートブロックが可能です。

  【レシーブ】
  力を抜いて面で合わせに行くといい具合に回転に鈍感になってくれ、ストップもしやすいです。
  中途半端に押し当てに行くと×。

  フォア表に変えたばかりや、表本来の技術が未熟なプレーヤー向きなラバーではないです。

  I've played penhold with short pips exclusively for about 20 years, and this is my first 7-ply blade.
  I also have experience with special-material blades and single-ply wood, so I'll review this in comparison to those.

  [Characteristics] For a reverse-style penhold blade, it's very light. It says 80g on the spec sheet, but I picked one that came in around 75g. The grip is easy to hold steady too, and it suits a variety of techniques like the short game and chiquita.

  [Speed] It doesn't have the kind of rebound you get from special materials, nor the grab-and-launch speed of single-ply wood. But the control is good, so modern high-bounce rubbers cover for that just fine.
  Short pushes tend to lose even more pace, so I'd recommend using the backhand side for those. That said, blocking knuckle serves is very easy with it.

  [Spin] Because it doesn't fly too much, drives and serves are very easy to spin. You can mix heavy and no-spin serves off the same motion and really confuse your opponent.

  It's an all-around racket, so I think the advantage is that beginners can build fundamentals with a low-bounce rubber, and once their skill improves, they can move straight to a tension rubber without needing to switch blades. So far, it pairs great with any rubber.

  20年ほどペン表一筋で初の7枚合板です。
  特殊素材や単板での経験がありますので、
  それらとの比較でレビューします。

  【特徴】反転式としては非常に軽いです。公表80gとありますが私は75gほどのものを選びました。グリップも固定し易く台上、チキータ等様々な技術に適してます。

  【スピード】特殊素材の反発がある訳でも、単板の掴んで飛ばす速度感もありません。ただコントロールが良いので近年流行りの飛ぶラバーで十分カバーできます。
  ショートはさらに失速傾向なので裏面をオススメします。ただしナックルブロックはとてもやり易いです。

  【スピン】飛びすぎないせいで非常にドライブ、サーブがしやすいです。切る切らないを同じファームで混ぜることで相手を翻弄出来ます。

  万能なラケットなので初心者には弾まないラバーとの組み合わせで基礎を身につけ、実力が付いてきたらテンション系のラバーにそのまま移行できる点はメリットだと思います。今のところどのラバーとの相性も抜群です。

  I'm using this on the reverse side of a penhold-style short pips setup.
  *Since I'm using the thin version, I'll rate it a little more conservatively than its true performance.

  [Speed] It's not a speed-oriented rubber, but if you hit it with a solid impact you can get a decent amount of speed out of it.

  [Spin] Chiquitas and topspin drives are both very easy. For drives, both the arc and the speed come out exactly as you picture them. The feeling of the sheet grabbing the ball matches your image well.

  [Block] If you send the ball with the image of standing the racket vertical and pushing through, apparently a really heavy ball comes back (according to my opponent).
  Also, if you flick your wrist lightly on impact, a satisfying counter is possible.

  [Bonus] When I get pushed to my backhand I sometimes chop, and this produces a nice, low, sharply-spinning ball in return. It might already be a well-known classic, but I can see why choppers love using it too.

  ペン表の裏面に貼って使ってます。
  ※薄なので本来の性能より少し控えめの評価にしておきます。

  【スピード】スピード系ではないですがインパクトをしっかりすればそれなりの速度が出ます。

  【スピン】チキータ、ドライブとてもやり易い。ドライブはチョリもスピードもイメージ通りです。シートで引っ掛けるイメージが合います。

  【ブロック】垂直に立て押し出すイメージで送ると非常に重い球が返るようです(相手談)。
  またインパクト時に軽く手首を返すと爽快なカウンターが可能です。

  【おまけ】バックに振られた際たまにカットをするのですがこれが低く切れた良いボールが返る。もはや鉄板かもしれないですがカットマンにも愛用されているのも分かります。

  HEXER PIPS +

  

  This is a review using it with vertical pips (tate-me).
  My first impression is that it's strong against short pips' number one enemy, humidity. It's great that it doesn't get slippery even in bad weather.

  [Speed] If you hit with a lot of impact you might feel some loss of power. The characteristic is that it gets speed even on light shots. It used to pair amazingly well with a single-ply blade, so it might suit a softer blade. With a hard blade, the rubber deforms a lot and you probably lose power that way.

  [Spin] With vertical pips it's really easy to get spin on the ball. Drive to the opponent's backhand or deep middle, and when they block it — snap, it's a real short-pips setup shot. Very easy to pull off.

  [Block, Counter]
  Blocks come out as a real knuckleball. Even if you counter with a bit too much force, it still lands on the table rather than flying off, probably because of that power loss I mentioned. Pushing deep, looping, and then countering as a setup shot is also easy to do.

  Right now I'm using the Vo101 because I want more power on my initiating shots, but I'd really recommend this to anyone who plays off their opponent's blocks or return loop drives.
  Might come back to this one again during the rainy season.

  縦目で使ったレビューです。
  第一印象は表の一番の敵"湿気"に強い点です。天気が悪くても滑らない点が素晴らしいです。

  【スピード】インパクトが強い方はちょっとロスを感じるかもしれません。軽打でスピードが出るのが特徴です。以前単板との相性が抜群でしたのでソフトなラケットと合うかもしれないです。硬いとラバーの変形が大きくロスしてしまうのでしょう。

  【スピン】縦目ではとても回転が掛けやすいです。相手のバック、ミドル奥へドライブをかけ、ブロックされたのをパチン。表ならではのハメ技ですね。とてもし易い。

  【ブロック、カウンター】
  ブロックはとてもナックルになります。カウンターは少し力んでも先述のロスが効いているせいかぶっ飛ばず台上に収まってくれます。深く突っつきループさせてカウンターもハメ技でやり易い。

  現在は先手の威力を上げたいためVo101を使用していますが、相手のブロックや繋いでくるループドライブを利用して戦う方にはとてもオススメです。
  梅雨時期にはまたお世話になるかも。
