If I had to recommend one blade to a beginner, I'd go with the Swat! It's cheap, and it holds up perfectly fine for beginner and intermediate play too!

After using Tenergy, this felt harder than Tenergy. The topsheet grips the ball, but it doesn't have Tenergy's springy feel, so I don't think players without much power need to bother with it.

The discontinued Ma Long Carbon had too thin a grip for me to use, but personally, the thinner grip on this one has made it way easier to use! I'd recommend it!
